I've read multiple books and articles on the subject and the general consensus now is Jimmy planned to coach the team in 1994 before deciding what to do next.

The events immediately after Super Bowl 28 just sped up the process. Jerry was an egomaniac and so was Jimmy. The fact Jimmy admitted he was "intrigued" about taking the Jaguars' head coaching job in December 1993 was the start of the end. He preached loyalty to all the coaches and players and then started making comments about coaching an expansion team.

Then Jerry got drunk at the NFL Owners meeting, spewed to some reporters about possibly firing Jimmy, and the rest is history.

I was glad we traded Micah, but still, it was a lie and a falsehood made to prop up his paying Dak at the last minute.

May I have another next season?

I really never believed they would make an amazing run but I've seen teams do it before so all I did was open my mind to the possibility. The addition of Q and getting Agent O back really kind of looked like it changed the defense. But perhaps the opponents aided that illusion.

Yep I've been called a lot of things in my time but a cheerleader for Jerry was never one of them how you came up with that I'm not sure.

Wrong. The most recent polls had 70% believing this team would go 4-1 down the stretch and then after the loss to Detroit 60% said the team would go 3-1. Then we lost to Minnesota.

Wrong on #2: Again...speak for YOURSELF. You can't say that "no one" believed that IN ANY UNIVERSE.

Wrong on #3. RIGHT AFTER the GB game Jerry said, "I chose Dak" over Micah. So again...before you correct me, correct yourself.

2. Your argument so weak. Show me 1 post where someone said they actually thought Jerry was a mastermind to get shotty as head coach.
3. You didn't even quote it correctly. Dude you are trying way too hard because you are wrong. Show me the whole quote or link it. He literally tried signing Micah while Dak was under contract, to think otherwise is just dumb.

You couldn't be more wrong about your entire post if you tried.

That isn't what I said is it? Show me the post before the season started like I said both times. The only thing lazy is your BS. You are the one making things uing 's true. I just want the proof, you don't have it. Cool, make up the bs you want. There isn't any reason too just to call out Jerry.

#3 is not accurate, but it’s also partially true. The Cowboys have overpaid enough underperforming players that signing Parsons at his asking price would have essentially gutted the team.

A well win organization could have both (with some cap machinations) but it would be stupid to pay both what they were asking. I would have rather moved on from Prescott but here we are with our $65 M man.

Ahh..The "Mary Sue" trilogy. A girl that weighs 100 lbs is stronger than Luke Skywalker immediately, more powerful than Darth Vader without any training. Sounds like Cowboys fan delusion in 2025.

I just pretend it doesn't exist. I did the same thing for the Prequels until the sequel trilogy played out. What a disaster. Jar Jar Abrams.

Thankfully they are going to release the original 3 remastered in original 1977-1983 cuts. The ones that we actually grew up with. No Special Edition garbage, no prequel call backs.

Give me my childhood back you Disney freaks. Give me my Cowboys back Emperor Jerry Palpatine-Jones.

I literally just went over this with my son. My issue is that after Disney bought Star Wars and appointed KK as the head of LucasFilm, she immediately declared, "The force is female." (One can just imagine the outcry from people if they said it was "male" - even if they didn't watch or like Star Wars it wouldn't be "allowed".) So you were sure about THAT and your Mary Sue character, but no planning for the ACTUAL STORY! They let anyone make stuff up, brought back Palpatine and undid Anakin's sacrifice...all to increase sales with their target market.
