How Long Before Ogletree Gets On the Field?

I just can't wait for teams to stop selling out against our passing game so we can light it up and shut some of these people up.

Its funny how deep professional teams are putting their safeties downfield against us.
True, but if they want to keep allowing us 200 yards on the ground, so be it. :)

Oh yeah im lovin it.

Can you believe how well our blocking is this year vs years past?

We just aren't blocking teams either we are mauling them.

It looks like the early 90's out there.

I will take that and smile, smile, smile.

If he played for a team like Philly, he would be on the field already.

If he had a special teams role or we didn't carry 2 kickers maybe he would be on the field for us too.

I just hope he is working hard on his technique and hitting the weights.

Preseason is over, if Ogletree was good enough i'm sure he'd be active

The love for Ogletree seems to be out of control this week. How long before Ogletree gets on the field? Next August in preseason.

He is. He will be activated very soon.

Defenses are playing single high, safety in the box, we need to burn them. Ogletree can run the deep passes and run smoother shorter routes.

The concept of Olgetree getting significant playing time, when Austin, Hurd, Witten and Bennett are all relatively healthy, is as laughable as the training camp/preseason concept of Austin (who was still battling an injury and wasn't getting quality practice time with the first-string) surplanting Crayton as the number two wide receiver by the start of the season. It's like realism is thrown out the window [strike]a lot[/strike] sometimes.

Even if he does get on the field, Romo has to target him. Romo doesn't target his 3rd and 4th options very much. He seems to check his first, and second options (Roy and Witten), then goes straight to the check down. (Choice, Barber, Felix)

Not really. On some plays Hurd (#3 Wr) is on the field alone. I think Ogletree will take the place of Hurd or Austin on some plays. When i rewatch the game, the defenses are daring the Cowboys to go deep...they just don’t have the speed to beat it. Austin is a good player, but his main struggle is breaking down on his routes. Hurd is too slow.

I think people get a bit impatient and want to see him I understand that but coaches tend to make sure a player is ready and knows the playbook before tossing them out there. They also have to feel that he is better than the player he is replacing.

I agree that he has all of the tools, and seems a damn complete player. Give him some time to develop, and he might be a great find.

No reason to throw a rookie in there in my opinion unless you have a supremely unique talent (a la Felix Jones) or you have no other choice really, (a la Jets QB Sanchez)

i am buying this theory.hopefully Ogletree impresses them enough in practices to activate him .

Holy crap, can we stop talking about this now? Austin is doing fine; Hurd should be better than Ogletree right now.

with what 4 catches in 3 games :lmao:

According to Star Mag, Ogletree and Buehler live together and Victor Butler sleeps on their couch. You see how Buehler's super powers rubbed off on Butler. Imagine what will happen when Ogletree gets a chance.:D

On a side note: Don't these guys make enough money to get their own place? IDK, maybe not knowing if they would make the team or not made them cautious about getting a permanent place.

Why is everybody so sure that Ogletree is better than Austin or Hurd?
