How long will Zimmer stick with Donovan Wilson?

Wilson clearly played better last year, it's not really debatable.
He did, but what were the circumstances? The DC plays a role yes, but there are bigger factors for the (Wilson’s) teams poor play on D

Seems kind of obvious. No one on defense is playing particularly well.

It's no secret our Safety play has tapered off this year, that was on full display Sunday night with Donovan Wilson getting torched. At what point does Zim say enough is enough and go with a different look back there, whether that's Bell or Thomas? Hooker also looks like he's running with cinderblocks but there doesn't appear to be a viable FS option on the roster.
I actually believed that we were stacked at safety 2024.

but haven't gotten enough out of diggs? lol
if you're referring to softness nobody gives that out like Trevon. Donovan is a 6th round supplementary player but I know Dallas likes the supplementary players to be the leaders and not the high paid/future highly paid softies.

I know, I know.

naw production. just how you like to ignore the good and pop up to say told you so. when it’s done yo you though “well we got a lot out of him” it’s all good man. maybe just say it out loud in real life where there’s no history to point to

He was fine playing for the last DC
Not against quality competition. Kittle caught 3 of Purdy's 4 TD's in last years 42-10 debacle. He can be good in the box, but is a liability in coverage more often than not. In familiar fashion, Dallas of course struggled with better teams & in the playoffs last year too...only they had more talent & better depth while doing it.

:hammer: ....He's not the problem....it's Zimmer's crap scheme...and the way he matches people up in man coverage. Hell....if it wasn't for Wilson making every tackle on defense...teams would score in 3 plays.

One thing I do appreciate about Wilson, is his effort. Right now, no pass rush obviously affects the secondary as a whole. Zimmer‘s scheme match up wise, is also crap at times. How do you have Kendricks on Samuel 1 v 1? The atrocious offseason is also showing as most though it would.

This is telling it like it is… any coach trying to mess with the starting lineup has to deal with coach Jerry first. Unbelievable, but true.

Subsequently, a three man committee votes on the matter and the vote must be unanimous. Unfortunately, the committee is made up of HC Jerry, GM Jerry and owner Jerry. Good Luck  P. S. Don’t ask why, this is insulting to the committee and will get you fired.
Don't forget he's also a doctor

I think you may want to review last season more accurately. It's literally how he is used.
Struggling against better teams isn't really against the players as it is against the staff putting them in place.

Pure genius. Same players, what's changed?
Cmon now. You know It’s not the same players.

Sam Williams (injured) Dante Fowler, Dorance Armstrong are not playing or on another team. Those guys added to the pass rush.

Also the cowboys looked like crap when they played from behind WITH Quinn and got run on. Teams would abandon the run once they got down two scores most times.

Basically they downgraded in talent, had injuries at the same position (DLine) and don’t have an offense that can get a lead so they have to play the run basically all game. But yeah this is on Zim even though his predecessor at DC pulled the same crap when he didn’t have a lead with better players.
