You've GOT too be joking!!!!!!!!!!
You must be blind.
You've GOT too be joking!!!!!!!!!!
By my count qb's have 260 td's in 6 games. Some are on lb's, but that is a whole lot of db's giving up td's.
I would guess he gets more targets than diggs. I am not saying he is not at fault for anything he has given up, but sometimes the corners are not at fault

- Great break down by Akoye with LVE film session. i wanted to add this to the existing LVE thread,
but could not find it.
- This is why we seriously need an upgrade over LVE
- Something must be up with Anthony Barr as they dont see him an immediate replacement.
He's a sore spot but LVE is NOT the only one that is killing this run defense, but he's a start as
to why.
- Despite his immense size and length, he's just not instinctive and physical enuff
he looks like Tarzan ,,but he plays like Jane,![]()

I'm beginning to think he's avoiding hard contact in the attempt to not injure himself
This is BS.No, that is by design.
LVE's role is to engage the OL blocking on the 2nd level. It is similar to a DLineman playing 2-gap.
Marinelli had no answer for the zone blocking scheme. The 2018 Rams made it to the Super Bowl based on their unique version of the ZBS. The Cowboys would always be out of position vs that run scheme because it exploited inherent weaknesses in Marinelli's scheme.
Their RB had 3 keys...the 2 LBs and the 1tech DT.
1 correct read: positive gain.
2 correct reads big gain.
3 correct reads TD.
Quinn's scheme has schematic answers for most versions of the zbs and a big part of the answer is LVE playing stack & shed technique instead of run & hit technique.
LVE's performance was top 2 on defense in the playoff game. He had 13 total tackles. The problem is that the goal in Quinn's scheme is for other defenders to make the tackle before the RB gets to LVE.
Im not buying the narrative that LVE is schemed into this role, if so than Q needs to fine tune a bit.I'm beginning to think he's avoiding hard contact in the attempt to not injure himself
Seen this before and just confirms i am not the only one. Just a human blocking sled. Poor instincts, poor vision, poor speed, and i was shocked they kept him another year to continue being a weak link. Sooner we get away from him, the better.
No more room, we are fine with depth.Love to make an in season trade to upgrade MLB...
No more room, we are fine with depth.
Just haven't had the opportunity to see it yet.
Now if an Isaih Simmons ARI type was available, then entertaining, perfect fit, but we might already have that version in house.
Not sure what point you are trying to make But Barrs played on average 70% of the defensive snaps this year...so hes been more then Fine, hes on the field a lot with lVE when Parsons is a DE.how are we fine with Depth ?
- Cox is either inactive, or seldom plays
- Clark is a rookie who hasn't even play yet this year at all
- Gifford is strictly a special teams guy
- Harper is also strictly a special teamer who cannot make the game day active list
- and Anthony Barr, a former Pro Bowler clearly must not be near the same former player, as he's not replace weak link LVE
The depth is not as big of need as some are making it out to be, in this scheme the safeties play a big role and the reason we didnt make a trade for the comp I gave in Simmons.how are we fine with Depth ?

Simmons would have been the perfect fit in current scheme, and his attributes are very similar to what we have now in depth.
Love to make an in season trade to upgrade MLB...
ThanksWe had a chance to sign one in the off season. One Robert Wagner, currently the #1 rated LB in the league per PFF.
I don't dislike LVE. He's been OK to solid this year.
The problem I see is that he is just no longer a run stuffing MLB (and this is how we play him).
Since his injury, he is hesitant physically, and is probably best suited at WILL at this point (similar to Sean Lee in some ways, though not the player Lee was)
The Cowboys need another big, physical, athletic Mike/Sam type to stuff the run.
Parsons can literally play all 3 LB positions at a high level, he is that special, but he can cause the most havoc at EDGE, so many of his snaps will (and should come) at EDGE. We really need a Wagner type to stuff the run.
Wagner signed a 5 year 50 mil contract, but only 2 years of his deal are guaranteed, and his signing money was small (just 6.5 mil spread out over 5 years). His cap # this season is just 2.5 mil. (By comparison, LVE's cap is 2 and Barr's is 1.9)
So he was easily affordable.
Watching this film of LVE, you see how he gets blown out on run plays, especially when an OL gets on him, he just gets pushed back out of the play. Watch Wagner, he dives in and at the very least takes out the OL and causes the whole to close. He still sometimes makes the play, or at the least he blows up the play and his teamates make the play.
We lack that player (other than Parsons) who can blow up a running play like that.
I think that was a mistep, not addressing that position in the off season.
We've had a weakness defending the run for several years, and part of that is the DT position, but part is also LB.
Cox is not a Mike either, he is best suited as a Will, and with the Cowboys having (and playing) 3 safeties so often, that position is minimized in our scheme, likely why Cox has been inactive most of the season thus far.
I'm not sure why we are not using Barr more in that capacity. He seems to have the size/strength/physicality that we need, but we seem to not be using in that way often.
Overall our Defense has been excellent, but we do have a weakness, and we all saw it in that 11 play all running drive by the Eagles last week. A true, run stuffing MIke or Sam would help.
It’s a fine line having both run stopping and pass rushing defense, the great defenses have.At some point (if teams haven't already) they are gonna make more of a commitment to run the ball on our 3 safety set.
we can nickel and gimmick to a certain point and degree,
..i think the 3 safeties bid comes in handy on 3rd and long ..and we an pin our ears back vs pass. but the better teams that are capable of running the ball may continue to get away against LVE or 3 safety sets
