I get it. At least youre not unreasonable by calling this teams roster, if healthy, decently talented. Personally, I think its a playoff caliber roster. Posters around here will claim we were bottom quarter of NFL talent wise.

My point is, Cowboys havent been in a situation like this for the past 15 years due to Romo then Dak and Will McClay. The one time there is a perfect storm to tank...the Cowboys are sitting at like pick 15 with only a few games left. SMH.

The last time Dallas decided to give up the season early was when Zeke fumbled the ball on purpose 4 times in one game to start the tank. I cant even remember the time before that. Basically, the Zeke fumble game is the only season I really remember in the past 15 years where Dallas decided to tank early in the season.

I guess for as much negativity as this board produces about Jerry making buffoon moves...I would have hoped that the rare chance a tank is in order, that we would execute the tank with little room for criticism. But no, we somehow mess up a tank.

I suspect its the players. And, I guess there really isnt much you can do if they want to fight for wins...I respect it. I also suspect there might be a balancing act going on with managing star players that want to win instead of tank(Micah, CeeDee)...upsetting star players probably isnt something a club wants to add to its plate. But, at the end of the day a tank is the best option for this team, the players should realize that and all be onboard.
Heading into this season we had a mediocre roster at best due to not filling the needs that left in FA. If we let guys like Osa, JLew and Golston walk without replacing them it will be the same story.

Championship caliber teams do not use the draft to fill holes. As long as we have Dak, Lamb and Parsons we’ll be relevant but until we start being aggressive in FA this team isn’t getting over the hump.

I don’t understand your hate on Burden, he is a yac monster like Lamb. Pierce does play the run in college, he is going to in the pros? Walker isn’t a high level run defender, he is more of a pass rusher
Burdens best football is ahead of him…I think some fans knock him for the production this year but the QB play was awful.

He’s 100% a top 15 ish player in this class IMO at a massive position of need.

I'm with you, cannot understand why some aren't high on him when we see Lamb every week. We could re-create the 49ers passing offense with yac players all over the field in Lamb, Burden and Ferguson. (Deebo, Ayuik, Kittles). Add a dynamic back and our offense is complete.

Lamb was a legit blue chip prospect IMO way ahead of Burden. Burden is probably a late 1st rounder in most drafts but this isn’t most drafts.

Have to take what the draft gives you.

Agree with you though on the YAC - Burden needs to develop his route running but there’s no reason he can’t come in year 1 and take those short / intermediate throws Lamb gets and give you some
juice with his play after catch.

I think he is comparable to Ayuik at the same stage

I think Aiyuk was more of a deep threat in college that developed into a stud route runner…

A comp for Burden is tough…I can’t remember the name of the small school
guy the Jets took last year but I’d compare Burden to a much better version of that guy with better athleticism and production in the SEC.

When I watch him, my first guy I thought about was DJ Moore. Moore was another yards after catch type of receiver on the college level

Wow, you guys would waste a top 15 pick for a late first round wide receiver prospect that has questions about route running and ability to play in a pro style offense. This draft class must be even worse then I thought.

They're as bad as Jerry. Again, we had ceedee and Cooper. What did dak do with then in the playoffs? Exactly

He’s a consensus top 15 player in the class at a position of need…I’m not sure in what universe that’s a waste but do you man.

I will.Burden would not even start on the Cowboys next year. The kid is a bubble screen receiver that will be lucky to get 4 touches a game. Dak is not a bubble screen quarterback.

If he’s “just a bubble screen” WR I guess you’re right and about 99% of the draft community is wrong. Moving on.

Teams? Well that will vary. The Cowboys may have 14 and the Titans may have 16.

I'm guessing where they end up picking will have at least one of their 1st round grades still on the board. Maybe more than that.

And that's the player they should pick and I don't give a damn about position.
