This team should really be treating dak like Jimmy garropolo where we can win games 9-3 but instead were still living in a world where people think Dak can do something with receivers. Smh an elite defense is the only success you'll ever get with Dak Prescott. Why don't yall realize that yet?

And I'm talking playoffs not meaningless regular season numbers/sucess

yea put Cooper on the 2022 team and we beat San fran. Right. There's no convincing people like you so get the receiver and start blaming the oline and run game again. Rinse repeat. You got it
I’m not sure exactly what you’re even saying here but yes, give us a high end #2 and it helps our chances against SF and other teams in the playoffs.

The blueprint to beat the Cowboys the last few years is laughably easy…double Lamb, don’t worry about the running game and make someone else beat you. We don’t have that someone else like Philly, Det, SF, MN, LA, etc…

I don’t think it’s too much to ask to put a playoff caliber supporting cast around our QB like every other serious team in the NFL has done.

Why don’t you just stay in the main forums and stay out of the draft threads? Like seriously…

No one is here to do the Dak debate and there are 100 posts you could contribute to there.

Most of us enjoy talking draft and keeping the drama crap from the main threads out of here.

Nobody is trying to have a dak debate goofy. I'm trying to tell you why drafting a wr round 1 is pointless for this team but you can't grasp that.

of course you don't understand what I'm saying when I say it's foolish thinking Cooper being here wouldn't have made a difference at all vs the niners of course you don't.

If this is not trying to turn the Draft threads into a Dak sucks territory I don’t know what is. It’s fine man - keep being that guy if you want to.

Pearce will. His only real problem early on will be weight, but if he doesnt every run down he will hold up. Other than size he is a very good run defender. He will probably be 265 by his 2nd or 3rd year
He is a lot like McDonald a few years ago. Has to prove he isn't just a situational pass rusher.

I want BPA. I think the Ohio State kid is better than Burden but I wouldn’t waste a top 15 pick on him either. I have been watching Hunter and I like him but don’t love him. Same with Carter. I am down on this draft overall. Maybe it’s because we won’t get a top 10 pick but nobody is doing it for me.
Draft does lack blue chip talent, but there are many players who will improve our roster day 1.

I think he is more like a cross between McDonald and 2014's DeMarcus Lawrence. Like Lawrence did at 245, Pearce plays much bigger than his size. I don't really know if Id compare him to McDonald as a rusher. McDonald was a solid athlete and great technician. Pearce has incredible burst off the line

Our WR's outside of Lamb all suck. Tolbert is probably only one thats a legit NFL player. Whether its the the draft, FA, or a trade we need to add talent there

Agreed. Want to see how this coaching staff works out. Then use free agency to fill our needs. The Joneses have to do something I hope. Then you can use the picks accordingly.

I'm fine signing a guy. Drafting burden is dumb because he's mid

15 or so guys is about right as far as first round grades right now, the combine and especially medicals, will change that drastically. The risers from athletic testing probably offset the drop off of medical history though.

Worst in the league in redzone offense and defense. This is cause they cannot run or stop the run with any consistency. No team is going to be successful when you give up TD's and score FG's!!

Pearce might have more explosive first step then even Carter, but this team's biggest weakness remains stopping the run. I saw a stat this week, that since Parsons returned from injury, they have lead the league in pressures and takeaways. This is without DLaw and playing a bunch of rotational types at DE.

If we actually use FA Ill be excited about next season…if not I’ll expect similar results.

Pearce is also a very good defender. What you are going to get with Pearce is a 3 down DE. I could even see Pearce go ahead of Mykel Williams. I think he has an outside shot at top 10

The problem with with looking at what we do with Parsons is that doesnt hold up when we get to elite competition. We have had success getting guys going based on the attention Parsons gets the last few years. However that has disappeared when we needed it most

Sadly the Joneses feel the issues are injuries. I guarantee they don’t think it’s personnel.

I’d be very happy with either Pearce or Williams.

I think Pearce’s pass rush floor is higher and Williams run defense floor is higher but both have very high potential to be very good 3 down Edges.
