How Many Fans Want Flozell Replaced?

We've never been in position to draft a true franchise LT.

We could have taken Jordan Gross in 2003 instead of Terence Newman. Gross was the 8th pick, Newman was the 5th. Just sayin...

I do think if we were in a situation this year where Flo was going to be out I would think about moving Colombo to the LT to protect Romo blindside and move Free to the RT spot

I don't think we failed in our choice there. We got a great CB and we had Flo at the time and Flo was still in his 20s.

I think he was just making the point that we were in position to do it.

It just wasn't a logical choice at the time as you explained.

They gotta get someone ready and worth a damn before they let or replace FLo.

I can deal with most of his penalties too. Unfortunately, two of his penalties (not false starts) negated two big plays in Tampa and agains the Giants. That can't happen.

Damn right , Dallas would miss this guy BIGTIME. That is why it is key to find another LT soon that can someday match up to big ol' Flo.

If you were to ask me that question last draft, or even two years ago. I would have drafted the LT rather than a CB. A dominate LT is far more valuable than a dominate CB.

I agree, we wouldn't have taken him but I was just addressing the post that said we were never in a position to take one. We were, it just wasn't as high a priority as CB at the time.

And remember that before the draft the Hotel was given a big extension. So it was NOT going to happen no matter what.

We already drafted his replacement in Brewster but it will be 2 years from now before he sees the field

I think EVERY Cowboy fan would want to see Flozell replaced (bec. that would mean we had someone more talented than Flozell on the roster). That'd be great.

But its far from reality.

We struggled to find a replacement for Aikman.

I have a feeling we'll struggle to replace Adams. People will realize how good he is once he is gone, I'm afraid.
