How many truly quality starting players do we have?

LOL ......I am not sure Jerry is saying that but it certainly seems like he is done with Lance. Interesting since Lance's a free agent but maybe he has made up his mind that he's not paying him whatever his market value may be.

PFT:

Jerry Jones has no desire to see Trey Lance start a game this season

Highlights Jerry's terrible thought process. Trading a 4th for a QB you don't want to play, while having the perfect situation to play him. As bad as the Giants GM is he's doing the right thing starting his QB3 to insure they lose...Jerry should do the same, given he has more reasons to justify that tank strategy.

Clown says he's trying when games, that's a lie or the offseason would've been different.

Sam Williams and Martin need to be scratched off the list. The idea that either is anything close to a quality starter moving forward is nonsense.

The main issue IMHO isn't the talent level of the guys that you locked up long term it is the mentality of those players. Dak, CD, Parsons and Diggs do not hold their teammates accountable. We will not go anywhere until those 4 decide the team is going to win whether they like it or not. If they do not want to do it themselves they need to back a coaching staff 100%. I simply do not see this happening on a team where blaming the coaches is basically what we do.

We have enough talent to field another winning team if we hit in the draft, actually partake in FA, and the most important hiring the HC.
So how do we actively partake in FA when we're in bottom half of CAP (tables) for the next three years, still have Micah (top edge money), Tyler (LT money) and Bland, and aren't even an attractive location for those vets looking for a ring.

We don’t need top tier FA’s. We need smart moves, kind of like the trading for Gilmore. That was a sound smart move. It’s really not rocket science. We can’t keep waiting around however. Teams are built in offseason early.

Gilmore was a trade. We don't get involved in FA because there's ALWAYS at least one team that can afford more than we can.
For every Gilmore there are at least 3 Amari, Lance or Mingo.
After spending on our own, and Jerry's strategy of always being in contention we don't have money to spend....kicking the CAP can is alway's a contributory issue.

Why don't you just mention every player we have?
Your premise was exceptional players. You seem to have an inclusive approach, rash rascal.
you into the good stuff? I said Quality I do believe
QUALITY is not exceptional.
Frankly right now the only exceptional player I see we can count on is Aubrey

It's hard to evaluate the individuals, since the team is so bad, but Diggs and Bland haven't been a factor at all. The interior of both sides of the ball is just terrible. You essentially need 3 starters on the O-line, 3 on the d-line, all new linebackers, and a new safety. That's being conservative. You also need 2 running backs, 1-2 WRs, and some depth. This is a 3-4 year rebuild, but you can't do much because 2 players are eating up 60% of the cap.

The drafting has been terrible lately, too.
Many teams are able to do it in two or three; but with Big and Little Enos we are probably fortunate to get a FIVE YEAR plan

The most worrying aspect of that list is that by 2026 only Overshown will be on a Rookie Deal.
Parsons wanting Edge money (40 per), Tyler wanting LT (28-30) and Bland (20) would put us into an extremely top heavy roster.....these players need to play upto the contracts.
But Jerry loves his stars.
The Cowboys should take a lesson from Howie and the Eagles. Offer an extension early to these guys. If they don’t take the contract move them for draft capital. Tyler and Bland for example would fetch high draft picks if moved.

OF all of them Tyler would be the one I would pick to extend soon.
NOW if Bland were to have another great season I would go for him
More and more I want to trade Parsons

Bland is a free agent after next season and has a bad foot injury. You might be able to get him on the cheap. Before the injury he was going to ask for more than Diggs. Tyler is probably your most valuable trade piece. They need to offer him a deal at the beginning of the offseason.

Why trade your best player when you signed Dak to the biggest contract in the league and CeeDee to the second biggest wide receivers contract. Make it make sense to keep Dak and CeeDee then trade Micah. The dumb azz owner had a chance to hold everyone to the fire then bent over like prisoner in a federal prison. Can you imagine the leverage Jerry would have on these guys right now if he stayed tough?

Tyler wont get done. His agent is going to want LT money, or at least hit FA where some team will be desperate enough to pay him as such.

Having two BALL HAWK CB's and no pass rush is the unconnected thinking which Jerry is extremely capable of.

at least he is trying to tackle now
Well he's doing the Jaylon Smith .....looking as if he's trying. Then again one of his tackles where he got his head in front of the WR'S leg makes you think that for his and our sake he stays away from contact.

At best we have 13 starters and need 22

that is NINE players at least to the STARTING LINE UP
And with Daks contract your not getting any decent FAs. It's going to have to be done with the draft. But you really need to clean house because even the star players hate Dak.
