How much better would we be with Brockers, Wagner and Warford?

Why just those players? We could have selected Tom Brady too or Richard Sherman or signed Drew Brees or P. Manning...ect

What ifs are waste of time.

if we bring it up immediately after the draft, we're told to stop jumping the gun.

if we bring it up 3 years after the draft, we're told to stop living in the past.

when is the appropriate time to bring up draft failures without the purpose being questioned?

Absolutely right. The Garrett and Jones homers can't look back when the evidence is ugly. Of course, Jerry wanted Ware and Parcells wanted Spears......#ILoveJerrytheGM

... versus having Escobar and Claiborne...

Would it make much difference given everything else were the same?

To answer your question I would need to know if Garrett would still be the coach?? :)

Everybody thought Brockers would suck. I can't remember anybody ever mentioning anything about Wagner. And a few people were begging for Warford, but they're the same people who would have begged for any offensive guard.

If we're gonna talk "what if's" why don't we talk about players who people on CowboysZone actually wanted. How much better would we have been with Peter Konz, Melvin Ingram and Kenny Vaccaro?

Warford I won't even count because I don't think he was on our board. But Brockers and Wagner are the players Jerry and Stephen said they'd have taken immediately after the draft, so I think those are legitimate questions. And I know I'd rather have them than Claiborne.

Well, that's what makes your 3 names confusing. Are we going by who Jerry+Jason's Plan B was or are we going by who the fans on CowboysZone wanted? If we're going by who people here wanted, then take out Brockers because everybody thought he'd be a bust and take off Wagner because no one mentioned him. If we're going by our Plan B then we would've taken T. Williams in the 2nd round and Escobar in the 3rd.

I remember when we drafted Lee, how many were upset we took a LBer in the second round of the draft.
I remember when we drafted Carter, people were upset we took a LBer in the second round of the draft. Again.

I can only imagine how upset people would have been if we used another 2nd round pick on a LBer.

And Brockers? This board was calling him a bust.

Warford was not on our board at all. Considering how he has played in Detroit so far, shouldn't that be an issue as well? Who decided he wasn't even good enough for us to draft in the 6th round?

The best part about Mo is we never even met him with him before the draft. He has a serious learning issue (ADHD) so I'd think we would at least want to talk to him before trading two picks to draft him. No, no, He's Deion. This is the constant decision making that keeps us mediocre.

No-win thread.
You complain about draft picks and get bludgeoned by folks that say "Stop living in the past."
You complain when the picks are made and you get "I think the front office knows more than you. Move out of your mother's basement."
Really, I don't know why anyone posts anything at this point.

I think the moral here is quantity over quantity is the remedy for a middling talent base.

We lost a top 50 pick to get Claiborne. The trade down worked wonders for us. An 8-8 team should never ever trade up.

The actual moral of the story is to do good talent evaluation, not volume

2 bags of garbage are just as bad as one bag of garbage

"Stop living in the past" signed 'CZ homers

Clearly "introspection" (the quality on which most knowledge is based) is not a highly regarded quality in our FO or our fans

Would we have won a super bowl if we only would have drafted Randy Moss instead of that DL who's name I already forgot?

Much better. Yes Super Bowl maybe 4
Greg Ellis
Oh. Sarcasm. I get it

Significantly better. Like by a lot.

2011: trade down draft decastro pick up another draft pick.

2012: draft warford in the 2nd after drafting frederick in the 1st.

oline is fixed for at least 5 years, risen star dies in peace.

why is this so difficult?

Is this a serious question? Highlights a glaring need for a competent GM.

Plus with Felix and Barber around no one liked the Murray pick either
