I bet he wouldn't have touched either one.

It wouldnt even have been close. He would have either got ran by or he would have taken a terrible angle.

Should he have even been on the field? How many players were hurt, came back too soon, and got hurt again.

It was an elementary play, and I think a healthy Roy Williams could have stopped those plays.

You are going to draft one or two safeties. If you can bring Williams back at the right price, I would do it. I don't know what his cap number is.

By the way, I have been a critic of Roy Williams' play at times.
it was the 2nd game of the year. he was fine it's just he's soft now even his bones.

I look at the contract, consider the player's relative strengths and weaknesses, and come away thinking - "Jerry pays THAT MUCH for a safety with HIS built-in coverage limitations?!"

For me, at that point RW #38 becomes mathematically eliminated.

I'm talking about the Rams game.

Any way. I'm out of this discussion. It's a bomb.

You have to be the dumbest person I've ever seen with all your "he's soft" crap when it comes to injuries.

People do not have a say in rather they have bones break or not and anyone putting some tag on someone cause they break a bone is a complete moron.

i was referring to saying how Roy can still hit running downhill and pointed out that that's how the big softy broke his arm the 1st time.

he went from one of the most vicious, hardnosed players in the league to a big softy that now goes backwards and gets put on his *** when he attempts to hit someone. he's S-O-F-T SOFT!

Which has nothing to do with getting a broken bone. You trying to, even if you're trying to be funny, act like a guy getting a bone broke is some how something he has control over is just stupid.

Now as far as being a tackler or player goes he probably is soft and doesn't go as hard as he should or used to but that has nothing to do with injuries and is just stupid to even try and claim such a thing.

Roy #38 is slated for a 2009 salary of $4.4MM - Ed Reed (who has absolutely NO holes in his game), $3.6MM.

No, I'm not an accountant. But I understand fundamental math. I also see the writing on the wall. Squint just right... and it may yet come to you.

Rampage,

I thought he broke it on special teams. More injuries occur on special teams. That is why I can't believe the Cowboys let Miles Austin cover the kickoff after he was torching San Diego in the pre-season. He should have been pulled off immediately.

Keith davis and roy williams are bad safetys, draft a new one, or get henry to move to free.

he did. he was on the kickoff coverage unit and tried to put a hit on the eagles kick returner. the returner bounced off and roy broke his arm. as to the miles austin comment look at wade for that. remember he kept kosier in in the 4th quarter in our last preseason game and he's never been the same since.

Yeah, I would have been running to grab Austin. I heard the coach tried to stop him. Yep, keeping the interior of the line in the game, late in the game, of that last pre-season game backfired for sure. Brad Johnson was done. They were in there for him.

Roy Williams hasn't sounded too fired up about playing for Dallas, playing the sport, or getting his "game" back to where it was. I don't think he is a fit athlete at many stages (overweight). It doesn't sound like he's a real study freak or a student of the game.

I would part ways and look for young hungry players.

I just don't think Roy is a positive leader out there from what I've seen on the field last few years. Either by example or by being a savy veteran. He points fingers and makes too many mistakes. He hasn't been very consistent even as a run stopper for a couple of seasons.

This is an area where team could upgrade, save some money, and change the attitude. This guy was the leader on the team for his first 2 seasons, but kind of lost his fire along the way I think.

I could see him as a role player or sharetimer with a paycut, but expectations have been way lowered for this guy.

Seems like a good person and community contributor though, just not peak career player at this point. Might be the wrong D for him too, being 3-4.

Just IMHO.

We missed Roy a lot less than I would have thought we would this year, all in all. Still, had he been in position to stop either of the long Baltimore runs, we very likely would have been in the playoffs this year. The games and the seasons really do come down to a handful of plays.
