How much do you pay Tyler Biadasz?

I'm sure some fans would rather move on but what are the options........draft, free agent, or trade. According to OTC his market value is in the $8M range which would put his salary in the bottom top 10 range. Interestingly, for what it's worth, he has a 25th ranking from PFF among league centers.

Just me, but I think you have to pay him. He is one of your own players who was drafted in the 4th round that now a legit starter. He may not be the best in the league but he's starting to carry his own weight on the unit. Besides, I don't trust the other options......let him walk and you force your hand a bit, now you need to fill TWO starting positions ( LG and C ) 2024 draft.

Center Tyler Biadasz

This deal may have to wait to see who the Cowboys draft, but if the team believes Biadasz is their answer at center, locking him up to a long-term deal would be good business. Biadasz has been the starting center for the last two seasons and continues to improve, making his first Pro Bowl in 2022 as a down-line replacement.

Biadasz has been the unsung hero on the offensive line in the last two seasons, starting every game, playing 2,268 snaps, and not given up a sack (according to PFF). He was once considered the weak link of the unit, but the four-year veteran become a reliable part of the rebuild upfront.

The team has been looking into interior offensive linemen in the draft, but Biadasz’s play has made center less of a need. The Cowboys are in good hands with Biadasz in the middle and extending him now could make it clear that he’s in their future plans.

He played pretty well last year and has developed over the last couple of years into a serviceable starting center, I think he's a little undersized but If he's rated 25th in the league among centers, is he really a guy you want to pay long term...Lets see how this year plays out and either franchise him for a year or either use Farniak or draft another center...

I think I'd offer him around $5-6m + incentives. That puts him in the top 9-15 range + incentives. And I'd probably want to extend it out for at least 5 years.

I don't think he's bad, but I don't think he'll ever be great. He's shown improvement, so I'd be expecting that to continue.

All comes down to $$$. If he agent asks for too much then the Cowboys can start to make plans for their next center. He should get a good deal but it also needs to be reasonable. He is good but he isn't that good and demand big bucks.

Another post about how much would you pay or would you cut this guy. Wow....some fans find this more interesting than actual football games, play, scheme, depth, coaching, play calling, you know, football stuff. Lol

I hardly watch anything on the NFL channel except actual games. They never have any football nuts & bolts shows, which I think is weird. It's all gossip & predictions.

Big year for Biadasz. If he keeps improving he’ll get a nice contract from us or someone else. If he doesn’t and remains a serviceable but not really a better than average player and probably a little less than average for a starting OL if we are being objective, there is a good chance the same happens with him as it did the two Conners the last two years. Would be big for us if he steps up and has a great year.

I think the Cowboys will let Biadazs go in free agency and Forniok will be the starting center in 2024. Biadazs is a good player (better then the Conners), he is going to get a big contract in free agency.

He was a pro bowl alternate in his 3rd season, fellow nfl players & coaches already respect him as better than average.

He’s a pro bowl center.

Why would they let him walk?

If you got him in the 4th round, you can get another in the 3rd or 4th of similar caliber. He’s ranked 25th out of 32 teams….that’s bottom 25%.

Let’s see how this year plays out. Maybe Farniok shows you he can do it, or maybe Edoga surprises. I’m already assuming our 1st round pick next year is OL.

Because it's a side game, besides the actual game. If there was no salary cap, we'd hear very little about this. There would be no reason to talk about it.

He is not all that; those bleating about making the Pro Bowl as an alternate are fools.

BUT at the same time PFF as usual is full of crap claiming there are 24 better centers then he is.

HE is serviceable and might get better; my view is that the boys will watch and see if he continues to improve this season. IF he does they will make him an offer; if he does not they let him go.
