How much do you pay Tyler Biadasz?

Fans should always remember- no NFL player- especially a starter- has an agent who will say, “Let’s agree to a team friendly deal”. Not going to happen. And honestly shouldn’t happen. These guys are gladiators who should try to make as much as they can, while they can. Market value is fair.

In short, Biadaz will expect market value in his second contract and nothing less.

The real question is, should the Cowboys pay that? I may change my opinion at some point but as of now, I wouldn’t pay him because I think you can find another C in the draft or FA.

With contracts for Diggs, Parsons and Lamb looming on the near horizon, Biadaz‘s deal would have to be considered way less important.
How much of a hedge towards a real playoff run are you placing a bet upon? Three or five for now?

Another post about how much would you pay or would you cut this guy. Wow....some fans find this more interesting than actual football games, play, scheme, depth, coaching, play calling, you know, football stuff. Lol
lol, a QB gets the snot knocked out him and some here say, I told you Dak was a lousy - unacceptable quarterback.

Remember Sam Huff and Alex Karas~Yale Larry?

Because it's a side game, besides the actual game. If there was no salary cap, we'd hear very little about this. There would be no reason to talk about it.

You can’t pay everyone. He made the pro bowl as an alternate. So did the Ravens second string quarterback.
Hey, different positions and doesn't say something negative about Jerry nor Dak.

I don’t believe in giving contracts to replacement level starters. They need to get better on the interior, not more expensive.
Yea, what the hell did they earn anyway...your respect?

Connor McGovern got 4 years $32M for basically two low-end starter seasons in Dallas. I'd use that as a starting point for Biadasz's talks.

Interior OL is a position I don't mind paying. Vets there are cheap and rookies are slow to develop. You can draft Biadasz's replacement for a mid round pick, but chances are he's going to spend two years sucking first.

You don't, you look to replace him cheaper and younger via draft
That sound more like a cattle drive for top dollar...get 'er done first, no matter what.

Head 'em up...head 'em up...move 'em out to the end of... the drive - Raw..Hide!

By the way, ever make a mistake and carry a nail cleaning pocket knife in your pants inside AT&T Stadium?

How does that affect a run with two 12 wins already twice...?

Not a whole lot. I'll average the salary of players rank in the mid 10-20 of his position group.

Yea group averages...not where he fits a team's needs.

You tell that to your emergency room nurse?

I think I'd offer him around $5-6m + incentives. That puts him in the top 9-15 range + incentives. And I'd probably want to extend it out for at least 5 years.

I don't think he's bad, but I don't think he'll ever be great. He's shown improvement, so I'd be expecting that to continue.

He's not going to want any commitment for five years -- particularly on a contract that is incentive-laden and below market value.

I think the Steele decision will be factor in whether Tyler stays or not.

Basically I think they'll keep one of the two but not both.

With Tyron and Martin getting towards the end I don't think they let both Tyler and Terrance walk at the end of the season

I’d say it’s largely based on his play next season. He has been good not great so far. He’ll easily get McGovern money, probably more barring injury.

Well I don't really know what the market value for the 25th ranked center is. Of course I also don't really know that there are 24 better centers out there. That's why I threw in the + incentives, which I don't know what they would be either. Just something to tweak the numbers in a way that we're not left holding the bag if he goes South or to increase his pay if it's warranted.
The 5 years was because I don't think he'll make it to great.

The reason for a salary here, should be in the future and strictly on performance demonstrated...not a smart contract proposition. He and the Head Coach are on notice.

Dak is already paid into the future. How far is on him now.

Offer him a contract that pays the average of the midrange centers in the league. If he turns it down, let him test the waters of free agency. Make your decision on him later.
