How much does Chuckie (Gruden) want to coach in Big D next year? *Merge*

And by the way.... for Steve ripping on Tony for making that cross-field pass to Tashard...

HE WAS WIDE OPEN, YOU FACKING DUMBARSS!!!!!

Why are you cracking on our QB for making a pass to a guy who had NOBODY WITHIN 15 YARDS OF HIM???????????? AND IT WAS A FIRST DOWN!!!!!!!!

Never ceases to amaze me. They wouldn't let that play go, and it was an utter success. Just impossibly dumb.

Made 19 yards on the play, not a Panther even in the camera view.

It was more of a "OMG we've never seen that before, it must be RISKY!!!!" thing.

Gruden

02 - 12 -4 Dungy's team
03 - 7-9
04 - 5- 11
05 - 11-5
06 - 4-12
07 - 9-7
08 - 9-7

would be like hiring Wade over again

it still JG' s job to lose

I thought Gruden's complimentary tone was a little on the heavy side.

Maybe it was only because nearly all the other espn commentators seemed to be bagging on Romo and anything positive said by anyone else stood out.

Gruden doesn't seem like much of a live game commentator, though. I guess that qualifies him to fit in with that sorry team of announcers and commentators espn trots out for the whole MNF program.

Really makes me wish Cosell was still around to put these putzes in their place. I am sure he has been doing a slow spin in his grave ever since espn got their hands on MNF and put their jockocracy in place.

What espn does, from a pre-game commentary and in-game announcing standpoint is really shameful. They just aren't very good.

I hadn't actually watched and listened to an MNF game in quite awhile due to my overall disgust with espn. I was shocked at how bad it all was.

Look at the rosters for all of those teams...the Glazers didn't help Gruden out all that much.

Gruden always seems to get lucky and inherits a team on the cusp and takes advantage but when it comes to team building he is worse then jerry jones.

Fortunately we may be a team on the cusp.

Just sayin'...

You could think of it as risky because it was improvised but in a way I was glad to see it. I want to see Romo keep stepping up and playing and not go into a shell. This has been a tough week on Romo but it's one of those weeks that will mature him and make him a better QB.

I was wondering about having Gruden as a coach too. But I think it would lead to a rebuilding of the coaching staff. I've got a feeling that Gruden wouldn't be a good fit in the current coaching culture and I wonder how many would stay on with him. I'm not saying this would be a good or bad thing but I believe there would be a lot of changes. It might be a situation where you take one step back to take two forward.

Gruden would bring some passion to this team, but all his talk of the Wildcat offense scares the **** out of me.

still don't matter IMO

he is a coach on the down side of his career IMO

I don't want him here

I just as soon go with Garrett an get a real OC in here

I hope Gruden stays in the booth. He's very good up there and it took ESPN/ABC many years to find someone decent.

But nobody watches Monday night football anymore, other than the Cowboys, I might watch the game next week Minn and GB.....

All night long he seemed to be sucking up to Dallas players and sending a not so subtle signal to Jones.

He has done a good job of turning so-so QBs into good players, so I could only hope that he can take Romo to the next level. On the flip side, he seems to like to stock-pile them.

Sure did sound like it to me. I commented on that last night. He really like just about everything about every player.

Not sure how I would feel about chucky in Dallas to be honest.

lol, that is a possible reason.

We were counting the amount of people that Gruden just loves.

"I just love Jason Witten."
"Marion Barber, I just love that guy"
"Tony Romo, I just love the way this guy plays"
"Jay Ratliff, wow, I just love that guys motor."

Honestly, though, he doesn't kill anybody, except the refs. He's not very good in the booth - they don't need two "football" guys.

i wouldn't be opposed to Gruden. He wouldn't be my first choice, by any means, but I wouldn't be upset with having him. He does bring a fire to the sidelines that few coaches seem to.
