How much meat have we left on the bone with Terrance Williams?

Yes he made a big mental mistake in game one of the Giants game to not get out of bounds. I forgive possibly some of you cannot.
TWill is catching the ball better than any of his previous seasons(arms extended), he seems to be getting open on a regular basis but his threat as a receiver is seldom realized. Is he just a decoy in the Linehan offense? If we lose him next year it might become clear we never knew what kind of weapon we owned during this great season.

Like Mr. T said........ "come on, I got a lotta mo"

Typical #2 WR thing. If he doesn't get a big offer, we'll have him back on a one year deal. He's a nice piece but you just can't overpay #2 guys.

I'm willing to take that chance.

Never understood the TW hate.

Terrance Williams has been a good, consistent # 2 WR for the Cowboys that has gotten better and better year over year.

He stays healthy and shows up for every game. If fact, I don't think he has ever missed one game.

I hope we are able to keep him.

There's a Terrance Williams in every draft. Draft Darboh from Michigan in round 2 and keep it moving
No you need to resign TWill. Can he be replaced? Of course. As you suggested draft one and move on. That's not how you build a Super Bowl roster and win championships. You have to keep your FA's that you can win SB's with and he is definately one of those.

Draft resources need spent on upgrading your weak spots and filling holes to make your roster and team better. Replacing a serviceable WR with another doesn't do that. Especially with the defense we have. At least the top 3 picks should be on that side of the ball. I appreciate that overall they are playing better. But still.....

TWill has always been talented, will probably be a cap casualty, but Brice has better hands

My plan was if he wants a big payday. And I exaggerated with Darboh. More like Dural from LSU

From Blogging the Boys.

Terrance Williams: The Falcons signed WR Mohamed Sanu to a 5-year, $32.5 million contract earlier this year to play opposite Julio Jones as their No. 2 guy. In four years in Cincinnati, Sanu totaled 1,793 receiving yards, 11.8 yards per reception and 11 touchdowns. In three years in Dallas, one year of which was spent catching passes from a succession of clowns, Terrance Williams has totaled 2,197 yards, 16.5 yards per reception and 16 TDs. If $32 million over five years is the going rate for a solid No. 2 receiver then the Cowboys should be glad if they can sign Williams to anything close to that. And they may be able to if they start talks early, but no way can they get him for that money once he hits free agency.

He's capable of having a big game. Even capable of having a stretch of big games but not capable of being consistent over a season.

Move on. There are Terrance Williamses in every draft.

The Cowboys have to be very particular to who they give a 2nd contract. They should resign Leary. If they don't they are idiots. Keep the OL together. Zeke will need another deal. You'll need money for a QB if you can find one. No interest whatsoever in retaining Williams. His price tag will be greater than his worth.

He's a good #2 that may get offered retail when he hits FA after this season. He's replaceable.

Our #2 and #3 wr position is fine.. our #1 needs to show up week in week out. The body catcher does his job. Spread the field and occasionally make a big play.

He's a 'nice' WR2 but not the kind of guy, when push comes to shove, can be a stand-in WR1.

That's fine. There aren't a lot of those around and frankly the Cowboy's offense doesn't need one.
