How much meat have we left on the bone with Terrance Williams?

Williams is a #2 in name only. He will never put up great numbers in this offense as a fourth option. I don't think a rookie would do any better and I don't think Brice Butler can run his routes well enough to take his spot. If Dez has his spot on the team, Witten is always open, and Beas is always open, how many looks can you give that other WR?

800 yds from your #1 WR is not enough

You are correct if the offense solely depended on him. Damn man we went 13-3!

Plus we play a run heavy offense with 3 other very good receiving options and the fact that he missed how many games, begs to differ!

And let's add to the FACT that our QB will not just rely on just one weapon. Didn't he say something like this about Dez's targets, "I will not force the ball to Dez but will throw him the ball when he is the option" or something similar.

No he is not a decoy, he is the 4th or 5th option in probably all plays. The only time he would be a higher option is probably 3rd down and long, which we don't seen to have many of those this year.

And because he is probably the 4th or 5th options, I don't think it would be that hard to replace him.

Note that I do like TWill as he is one of our home grown. But we are going to have to continually save cap dollars everywhere we can to keep this OLine together.
considering fans have been saying this for yrs. And Dallas seems to get younger by the yr with rookies making impacts on rookie contracts i dont see a problem forthcoming. And dallas structures its contracts to be able to get money back on the cap. And they do it with OL too. Theyve done it with Tyron and did it with Fred this yr. Martin will be the same after next yr and Collins the yr after with Chaz, Fans need to stop worrying about Jerrys money like they have claim to it. Jerrys has guys alot smarter then any of you to determine what they can and cant do.

I guess you are referring to my point on cap space and you are absolutely right that the FO knows more then me or you in fact. If we can keep him and resign Zack and Leary, I'm all for it. That would be great cap management because TWill will be offered Sanu money in the open market. I don't know how they do that and pay TWill over 5 mil a year. But if it can be done, great.

By the way, I don't worry about Jerry's money that's his job. I've heard that before and to me that's a stupid statement. Know one is worrying about Jerry's money. You know for a fact that they are referring to the cap and that's what fans do. That's why this forum is here. Who they draft, who makes the roster, who they resign and everything else that you my have commented on is the same as worrying or having an opinion on the salary cap.

would love for Dallas to keep Leary but i dont think they will. Leary is going to get big money. And Dallas has a guy they love in Collins and a guy in looney who can back u the posistion. Dallas has guys in place to be able to do that. And with Leary leaving you can get Dallas will receive a big comp pick back in 2018.

For years people have thought Dallas was in cap hell when in fact thats never been the case. The contracts they make are intended to be restructured so they can get that cap back. This yr rectructuring Tyron and Fred alone gains the team almost 18mil in cap room.

T-Will's production isn't all that different from Alvin Harper. About ten more catches per season at a lower ypr (partly a function of offense and era), around 5 TDs a season. I think folks here overestimate the production to expect from the #2 outside receiver in an offense as diverse as this one. I'll remind you also that he showed up huge in the playoffs two years ago. And he never complains about his "role": he just does his job.

I'd love to see T-Will have a monster postseason that gets him a ring and a huge contract from someone else (we're probably not signing him anyway, so he may as well soak up someone else's cap as much as possible). And I hope his post-Cowboy career works out better than Harper's did, unless of course he's signed by an NFC contender.
