How much of our run D is our ILBs?

As usual looking for ppl who know stuff technically to educate me…

How much of our run D, or run defense in general is about the inside linebackers and their play (not filling gaps strongly, etc for whatever reason)

Or is it our d-line just that bad, or a combo?

This is a great question. linebacker is the weakness position of our defense. LV Is slow as hell and That OverShown injury really hurt.

Yeah i just wonder if there is a thumper/mean aspect missing.

So watched some tape and one big thing i saw with our LB's was where they were being placed... DQ over corrected for Dobbs running and literally had LVE holding the edge on the weak side on 2 of the big runs by the RB... The DE needs to do this not the LB..again i think DQ's gameplan was just bad..it happens but hopefully moving forward he finds better ways to defend Running QB's.

DEs have to set an edge on outside runs. This includes everyone's favorite pass rusher wearing #11.


We need discipline more than anything else. Teams are using misdirection to take advantage of the over aggressive style. They target Micah in particular.
