How sad is it that our players have to literally campaign for the FO to sign FA's

For some reason I get the feeling that Jerry will sign OBJ to a big contract and then OBJ will get hurt or underperform and Jerry will use it as an excuse to never sign another big name free agent for as long as he is the owner/alive.

Do you mean OBJ earlier this season of something else?

The source of prrpual mediocity is finally being pointed out. We already switched everything else out... Front office is the only place left

I think a team with a top offense and defense begging for more help is kind of weak.

Play better when it matters.
A GM should always be looking for ways to improve a team. You simply can't neglect one way (free agency) of improving your team and put all of your eggs in one basket (drafting). There has to be better balance. Jerry seems to have forgotten that in the 90's they were drafting great but he still needed to go out and get Charles Haley and then later Deion Sanders to bring those Superbowl trophies to Dallas.

However, you are right. The offense let the team down against the 49ers. 13 points is unacceptable. Maybe we do better with a legit WR opposite Lamb? Who knows? Dak definitely made some bad throws and missed some opportunities in that game.

The culture is the problem in Dallas.

They are begging for help because they want the easiest road available instead of buckling down and playing better.

They didn't lose to the 49ers because they wasn't good enough. They lost to the 49ers because they are an inconsistent mess.

It's sad to me because it's not a $ thing. Jerry has never been afraid to spend and I believe he would give Charlotte's right leg for a title. It's simply a matter of thinking that they are smarter than the rest of the league. The Jones's truly believe they have the winning formula figured out and that it's though the draft, developing players in house, and supplementing with low end free-agents. They believe time and patience will eventually get them there. It doesn't really matter that it hasn't worked all of these years because there's nobody in their inner circle to tell them otherwise. You're always going to get a pat on the back and told will get them next year when your management is made up entirely of your own family.

We had such a huge advantage at the QB position and our guy cost us the game.

They're just noting the obvious: Dak needs all the help he can get.
Most QBs do. Only the elite/generational type QBs can do it without a surrounding cast

Definitely agree that the culture is a problem. There seems to be no accountability for bad play on the football field. No one of note ever gets benched or cut. Most of the interceptions that Dak threw throughout the season were mental and just bad decisions on his part. There were some you could blame on the WR or maybe the OLine. However, the majority were just poor decisions. Why not bench him for a series or two to send a message that making poor decisions is unacceptable? Probably because if McCarthy benched Dak for even 1 series Jerrah would be down on the sidelines telling McCarthy to put him back in. The problem with this team starts and ends with JERRY JONES.

From Lamb to Parsons.

The Cowboys stars are asking their FO thru the media for help.

How sad is it that this is what its come to?
We have a dysfunctional front office.
So this is par for the course.
Players who really want to win will not be looking to sign a second contract here.
They will want to go somewhere where winning is THE priority.

But when the front office does dysfunctional things like overpaying players everyone applauds it.

Do you want Sad?
It's having to give an extension (Due to our miss managed Cap woes) to the player who is reason # 1 why we can't advance even to a championship game.
The NFL is a CAP league try and google it and find out why signing studs FA's is a dream boat scenario for us......

You don't think Brady did this in his career????????????? I'm sure he went to the FO "ALL" the time with possibles in mind, why do you think he always took a smaller piece of the pie, he wanted FAs who could help him build his GOAT status.

Dak demanded to be paid top money and did whatever he could to make his signing as painful as possible for this team. Most $$, most clauses, least years.
Whatever shame, criticism, pipe wrenches, tridents and pitchforks get thrown his way is totally deserved.

He will be booed off the field next season. Mark my words. Dak would never sacrifice some of his $$ for the team. Man of the year my arse.

Not as sad as fans of other teams that have nothing better to do than come here and pretend to be Cowboys fans just for the purpose of trolling actual Cowboys fans...

How in any way am I trolling? I post my opinion and have my fandom questioned? Maybe I’m just sick of the a FO that would rather take a family vacation in the first week of FA than be at work.
