I personally would spend a 3rd for him if it were my choice but I'd say most if not all will hold off until Day 3 to use a throw away pick on him just incase his situation turns against him.

Use a pick from 2016 as we are loaded with COMP picks in 2016....

I can see some teams starting to express interest around the latter portions of round 3 when the compensatory picks start kicking in. Realistically, I see him going late 4th to the late 5th.

If anybody has the contacts to get inside info its Jerry. I'd still draft him at some point, bargains on blue chip OL dont come along often.

I'd use a 4th.

We usually tank that round anyways

If he were there at 60, I would take him unless there is a better value, which I don't think there would be. I think he's a top 15 talent. Now, you might have a difference of opinion there if, say Gregory were still there. Some like Gregory a lot and think he is a top 10 talent. I don't like him as much as that so I rate Collins higher.

Police have stated that he is not a suspect and that they are only interested in interviewing him because he new the victim. The Police have already agreed to schedule an interview after the draft. If he were suspected of involvement, I don't think the police would have agreed to reschedule. They would have wanted to bring him in immediately. At least, that's my view on it.

Law enforcement contacts are the key here. If Dallas (or, by proxy, Les Miles) has good enough contacts to get information, it will allow them to take that chance.

I agree with Risen - if they believe he's innocent, you grab him when you can. He's that good of a player, and would be a replacement at one of two places on the line (LG or RT). You have to be pretty confident in the information, though.

Too much we don't know to answer, but I'd have interest in him from the 2nd on down if he's not clearly implicated in anything.

I can't help but think that some teams have had Private Investigators gathering all the info they can since this story came up. With the right intel, some team can get a real steal. I think if he goes undrafted tonight, there may be some merit to him having a real problem...I just can't believe that at least some teams don't have the likely true picture of his likely involvement/non-involvement by now.

Yeah. When the news hit, it seemed like it started leaking that he was getting completely removed from everybody's boards.

At the same time, though, his agent requested he be removed from the draft entirely. If he were guilty of something serious, you'd think his best interest would be to get drafted as high as he could as quickly as possible to at least lock in the signing bonus. The fact that they're looking at next year's draft as preferable to dropping in this one implies they seem to think he'll be available down the road for a bigger deal.

I don't know. This one's a really interesting one. We've never really seen a situation like this before.

I've changed my stance a little after sleeping on it and reading the reports that are out. If he is there in the 3rd, I would roll the dice and draft him. At worst, you're out a 3rd Rd pick. At best, he rounds out an OL with the potential to be an all-time great. I really hope he's a Cowboy by the nights end.

That is also my take on this. However, if I'm not mistaken, the NFL has already declined to allow him to declare for the Supplemental Draft (or next year's draft). If that's the case, he's stuck with whatever outcome occurs in this draft.

Tough to figure out what actually happened. I think in these cases you wait until the 7th round. It's not a big risk if you guess wrong and if you guess right, then these types of players tend to be extra motivated to prove the rest of the league what they missed out on.

I don't think Collins is going to be there in the 3rd. This is evolving in such a way that teams are going to know before the 2nd round starts if there is any concerns related to Collins. He will picked in the 2nd round today or not at all IMO. My guess is that he goes very early in round 2.

It's a very tempting situation, but unless some new info comes out before pick #60, We cant take that gamble, I would be willing to spend no higher than a 4th rounder under the present situation unless some new news comes out.

It's a golden opportunity to steal a player that should have gone in the top 15.

Unless the rules changed under the new CBA, a drafted player could sit out the year, and re-enter the next year's draft. It came up when Houston drafted Drew Henson.
