How Stoked Would You Be If Jerry fires McCarthy after this season?

Fires McCarthy after this season,
Trades two 1st's for Payton, BUT:
He steps down and gives GM duties to his new Head Coach?

Not saying that is remotely going to happen and I know people are going to say "Not going to happen" all throughout this thread, but this is a what-if thing.

Anyone on board with this scenario?

And wow, I never start threads! Probably because I'm lame at it.
We need more Corso threads! This is fun even to imagine!

Sadly though it is more likely to snow in Dallas next July 4th than the likelihood of Jerry Jones ever stepping aside or backing off his micro-management. He is as addicted to cameras and publicity as a meth addict needing a fix.

In all seriousness, I can’t see Payton ever coming here without some kind of major changes in writing as to how the Jones boys operate.

i think MM is also gone after this season- to many 1 year deals in FA/offseason, to much excess money in cap (Jerrys never done this), Zekes gone and will free up a lot, Jerry wont get another WR, wont (at least for now) get someone to replace Tyron.

also agree we trade for Payton (I'm neither for or against but think it will happen). Think 2 #1 are to high but think an agreement has already been made. Maybe 1 #1 and other picks

Dont think Jerry steps down. He loves building a team and next year we will have a ton of FA cash and lots of openings. Think Payton calls the moves but lets Jerry take credit.

we'll see but it makes sense and answers the cap excess

I don't think Payton is worth two firsts.

Really expected this to be, “kicked the bucket.”

Not that I’m openly rooting for that. We’d still have to live through the unabated Steve years.

At first I thought hell no, then I read on. Yes to Jerry stepping down.

But is he worth Jerry stepping down?
That, poor Yorick, is the question.
Yorick? Hmm, nobody's ever accused me of being just bones...a fool, yes.

The thought of Jerry stepping down is nice, but do you think it would last more than one failed season? And would Stevie take over after that???

Makes no difference who the coach is as long as the egotistical 800 pound gorilla is in the owners box. You could have Landry, Jimmy, Lombardi, Shula and Bill Walsh all on the staff and they wouldnt overcome ownership.

I didn’t know John Gruden was in coaching when the raiders took him . Not saying I doubt it just new to me
Don't doubt. 2 firsts and a couple seconds and 8 milly.
Trade done.

The fact is I don’t want him anyways. I want a new fresh upstock not some leftover couldn’t do it with a better team type coach
