How the Old Parcells Would Guarantee a Win Against KC..

The problem I have with those huge emotional speeches is.. how do you top that? I mean after you say something like that if you say anything after that and it's not on that level, it's gonna make it seem like that game isn't as important.

I didn't read what you had originally written but I hope you're not sacrificing your free expression too willingly. The last thing we need is righteousness taking over in here.
It has nothing to do with righteousness, and everything to do with respect and dignity toward others.

Reality has made it very clear in the forum rules and guide lines what is expected if one is to remain a member here at the zone, and remembering that children are present.

I did not see the original post, but I can tell you that when people use curtain types of language containing curses toward God, it makes me sick. And if the mods or Reality allowed it fester here I would never return.

I enjoy reading all of the opinions of Cowboys fans from around the world here, but not at the expense of my sensibilities.

Final word.

Righteousness has taken over here. Go read the forum rules.

Again there was a time when players would take the verbal abuse and yes it did provide motivation. Coaches like Halas and Lombardi did instill fear as in players knew who the boss was and never questioned it or else they were shown the door. These coaches were not looking to be your buddy they were only interested in winning football games so you did exactly what you were told

In Halas and Lombardi's time players had 2nd jobs in the off season and were not making millions a year. Although football was there main source of income.

If you made $5000/year in football and $2000 year in the off season selling insurance...then that speech would motivate you.

Things have changed, which is not always good.

That's a fact. And, back then, salaries weren't as high. A player made pretty good money (as compared to pumping gas) but it wasn't enough to support them during the whole offseason. Many players had other jobs during the off season. (so the threat of having to work another job was real.....
Nowadays, the players make so much that they can live several years on one season's salary.

I think the Tuna has evolved just like the game and players have evolved. That's what makes him better than other coaches. (cough, cough, Gibbs, cough, cough). He will motivate the line this week. Just watch and enjoy.

That's exactly what I said last week.

I agree with what your saying. Players in that era did not play for the big money but they played with a lot of passion and team pride. Passion for some I think is there, team pride I think a lot of that has been lost with FA. Guys move around so much that there is no loyalty to the ball club and it is no longer a second family. The guy who hated yesterday is your teammate today.
