They'd say how we got beat late in games by the pass the year before and did nothing about it. Don't get me wrong the OL has me concerned as does all aspects of the team that I perceive as needing upgraded but I am happy in the fact they've chosen to at least address the secondary with a little more bravado this year.Mash;4658316 said:Funny.....imagine if we did draft a OL in the first......
Then there would be threads complaining about how we have no CB's![]()

Now 4/5 months down the line it seems everyone is saying what i said months ago. How times have changed. No one agreed with me then but i bet you all do now.
My prediction then was with a weak OL we would be 4-12. This i stick by. Who thinks different now?

Cowboys fans are going to compare DeCastro and our o-line play to Claiborne and our secondary play for a while. But the draft wasn't our only avenue to shore-up the interior OL.
Cowboys22;4658281 said:You would be right if week 1 was tomorrow but it is not. That was the whole problem with your arguement. The team did address the interior OL in free agency and still had several months to continue to address it if need be. The draft is not the final chance to upgrade your roster. There will be surprise cuts and opportunities to make a trade. My advice to you is to be patient. You actually could be in a win-win situation here if you play your cards right. If they make a move, you can say you called for it months ago, but so did alot of people. If they start the season with Costa at center, you can come here and say I told you so after he fails miserably.

2. OL injuries are not predictable, and we could have blown our wad on an OG who got a high ankle sprain.
3. The secondary will always be a priority over interior OL for me, and our secondary was awful.
I wish we could have addressed both, if we couldn't, we clearly addressed the most important area for us, the defensive secondary.

Sorry, I get this way when I remember last season and Costa.![]()

I'm sorry, but I don't think things have "changed." Anyone predicting 4-12 for this team is going to get blasted. Jimmy Johnson, yes that Jimmy Johnson, just predicted us at 12-4. What do you see that he doesn't?
I'm in between those numbers but I don't see us below 8-8 under any circumstance.
DWAREZ;4660340 said:I agree, if we are 8-8 or below, I will literally be irate.
If some of these vets get healthy on the OL (Livings, Bern) and then the vet additions (G,C) supply insurance, I think we will be OK!
