DAL is roughly 3-4m under the cap after Tagging DLawrence

How they can create space*

Restructure= R
Cut or Trade= CT*
Extend= E

TSmith...............R.............7.3m
DLaw.................E..............10m
..........................CT............17m
Dez....................R..............10m
..........................CT.............8.5m
..........................E...............8m
TFred................R...............7.4m
SLee.................R...............3m
ZMartin.............E................4m
TCrawford.........R...............3.4m
.........................CT..............1.8m
Witten..............CT...............6.9m
........................R.................3.9m
TWill...............R...................1.8m
.......................CT.................(2.5m)
LCollins............R................1.8m
OScan............CT................1.4m
Mayowa...........CT..............2.7m
Hanna.............CT................2.7m
Beasley...........CT................3.2m
Bailey..............R..................1.6m
........................CT...............3.4m
Heath..............CT................1.6m

*No June 1st cuts and No Rule of 51 savings

That is 65m in cap space with only cuts to OScan, Hanna and Mayowa

They won't do it but I don't want to hear we are in cap trouble...... we are also 65m under the cap in 2019

This is unacceptable behavior for this board. I should report you to the Commish and he will deal with you swift and just as your conduct is detrimental to this board by bringing this simple logic and common sense.

Trades are difficult so most of that category can be eliminated. Lawrence was just tagged and not likely he'll be resigned long term so extending him can be ruled out.

Can you create more room? Sure
Is it the best move to restructure all of them? No
Fred is fine
Rather see Dez take a pay cut rather than push more out
Smith is all about his back
I’m all for the cuts of the players you listed
Hanna is really the only one that wouldn’t be on the bench anyway he is is on a second contract so not cheap enough for what we get out of him
With the kids there is no place for scandrick
What can be done and should be done is not always the same

Doesn't matter bro, we don't need any room because all we are going to sign are the scrub leftovers in free agency.

The Trade category is combined with the Cut category= CT.............Same impact on the cap

It is very likely DLaw gets extended but since he signed his tag he can no longer be traded or cut..... they have until July16th to reach a deal

That makes perfectly good sense. (the ct category) but I think Lawrence will be a pain to sign long term.

Garrett should be, with so many calling for his head. He needs to go kick down Stephens door, and demand that at least a quarter of this be made available immediately, so he can go grab an impact player or two in free agency this season.

That is a horribly wrong and dangerous opinion

If you want to spread propaganda create your own thread

:lmao:Dangerous. Of course you support that notion with nothing.

If you spend up to the cap and eat said accelerations you have to create space somehow ow you start eating a $1m daily penalty. Of course with your method of restructuring as much as possible and spending said money every year, that is impossible.

They don't need near that cap space this season lol. They'll probably wait to sign Martin until next offseason. Need 5-7 mil for rookies and around 5-10 mil for FA's.

The entire reason Dallas has had more dead money on the books over the last 10 years than pretty much anyone is because this front office is addicted to restructuring contracts to help a Little today and hurt a lot tomorrow.

If you could just ween off restructuring everyone, in a few years you won’t have to worry as much about the cap and all the dead money you have to compensate for. Tony Romo is STILL on the books for all the times you restructured him contract. It’s Cuckoo. Imagine if you had that 9 million right now from Romo. That’s the difference between Zack Martin and some random FA backup. You wouldn’t have to worry about his new contract. Who was it that you restructured Romo for? Ratliff? Dez’s New deal? Greg Hardy? Was it worth it?
