CB Decisions to make:

1) Time to replace Anthony Brown - per NFL draft or promote Bland to No.2
2) Do we keep Jourdan Lewis ? Per slot role- it's Bland vs Lewis, and i think Cowboys love Bland's size, play vs run, matchup speed over smaller, slower Lewis
3) If we draft a CB in early rounds of 1st or 2nd rd. Joseph is gone at end of camp. Ditto with 3rd rd. bust Nashon Wright
4) Brown gonna have a very tough injury to recover to form anyway. Let him go in FA, imo

- All depends upon what happens in offseason NFL draft, imo. How many new incoming CBs will be here ?
Will we be drafting a expected CB starter within first two rounds ?

100% agree. I was thinking the same thing, around a 5th. Especially when you have multiple 4th, 5th, and up. You can take a swing because on paper there's something there. And if they flop, no worries.

Not every draft, but there are inconsistency with the 2nd round. It's almost like it's treated as a "gamble pick." But not always. Same Williams, Diggs, and Lawrence were very good picks. Me personally, I'm drafting the first 3 rounds planning on them getting plugged right in, no projects. In hopes to sign to a 2nd contract.
Most of the time, however, the "gamble" didn't pan out with guys like Hill, Conner Williams, Awuzie, Jaylon Smith, Gregory, and many more. All were projects for one reason or another. I'd argue a round too early. And this feels like Jerry Jones gambling with his money machine toy with no repercussions minus pissed off fans and a long history of mediocrity. I truly believe he REALLY wants to win, no matter what I really do. Unfortunately he's not felt the burn of losing because there's no repercussions and it's mostly fueled on ego.
If he really wanted to win we'd have a real GM. So no, he doesn't care if we win or not.

95% of CZ members wouldn't be allowed to post their opinions if they had to score over 100 on an IQ test...The world is not perfect...
Which proves absolutely zilch as far as Jerry being an NFL GM. I mean, really, that is some irrelevent blather.

In his limited playing time he made way to many stupid penalties.

Holding on punt returns, getting to close to the return man, personal fouls.

Him and Fowler probably had the highest % of penalties per play on the team.
Jimmy Johnson has mentioned not drafting dumb players! I agree.
All but 1 penalty was on ST.

ST coach said he coaches the gunners to be very aggressive in crowding the punt returner.

Interesting stuff.
Are you speculating based on the evidence, or do you have some inside info?
It's common knowledge by the local media but they won't report things that will anger Jerry (or any of the other sports GMs/owners). They need access.

You have enough evidence regardless of what I post. Jerry would never operate in "cap boy" mode without intervention. They didn't draft Manziel. They cut Dez. Moved on from Romo. Forced DLaw to take a pay cut. Moved on from Garrett. Jerry would not have made any of those moves without intervention.

Who would an ego maniac allow to steer the ship...only his own family members because their success still means Jerry gets credit.

Are you serious? Your not serious? Joseph was drafted in the 2nd round. There are high expectations for guys drafted in the 2nd round.

Joseph has not come come close to meeting those expectations!!!
It’s not his fault he was drafted in the second because most didn’t see him as a second or a third rounder. People are upset at a guy with a 4th or 5th round grade who got drafted in the second.

Hence there is a possibility that if a couple of (drafted /UDFA) rookies and an aquired vet FA come in and ball out -- Joseph, along with Nashon Wright - could be cut loose 6 months from now (the end of preseason).

Thanks, appreciate the reply.
I live in Maryland, so I only get my Cowboys info here.

Anything is possible. My argument is if you liked them two years ago enough to draft them as high as they did they should still like them.

Why is is it weird? The guy has low character, low football IQ, low effort and an “I don’t care demeanor when he does something stupid on the football ball field “.
What are you insinuating by saying it is weird? There are many valid reasons why fans don’t like Joseph.
The low effort is false.

He is inexperienced at football. Only played a handful of games.

If you think he's low effort you aren't paying attention.

He forced a fumble on special teams against the 9ers, which put us back in the game..

He'd been itching to make a play all season and when he did it was huge

You make a lot of excellent thought out points, but his football IQ is so low he could cost us a playoff game just playing Special Teams. Some guy irates him just a little, and he explodes with a stupid personal foul at the worst time!
And those are the guys that veterans *know* to poke a stick at.
