I would say he fails on about 8 of those.
LOL, never fails me, Lex Luger the first in the ring.
I would say he fails on about 8 of those.
7 and 8 are his weaknessesCame across this, an interesting read to see how well Dak has held up............ think he's done pretty well with most but some inconsistency with #7 and 8 but a number of factors ( not all the QB's fault ) can impact their outcome also.

BILL PARCELS’ 11 QUARTERBACK COMMANDMENTS
- Press or TV agents or advisers, family or wives, friends or relatives, fans or hangers-on, ignore them on matters of football, they don't know what's happening here.
- Don't forget to have fun, but don't be the class clown. Clowns and leaders don't mix. Clowns can't run a huddle.
- A quarterback throws with his legs more than his arms. Squat and run. Fat quarterbacks can't avoid the rush.
- Know your job cold. This is not a game without errors. Keep yours to a minimum. Study.
- Know your own players. Who's fast? Who can catch? Who needs encouragement? Be precise. Know your opponent.
- Be the same guy every day. In condition, preparing to lead, studying your plan. A coach can't prepare you for every eventuality. Prepare yourself and remember, impulse decisions usually equal mistakes.
- Throwing the ball away is a good play. Sacks, interceptions, and fumbles are bad plays. Protect against those.
- You must learn to manage the game. Personnel, play call, motions, ball handling, proper reads, accurate throws, play fakes. Clock, clock, clock, don't you ever lose track of the clock.
- Passing stats and TD passes are not how you're gonna be judged. Your job is to get your team in the endzone and that's how you're gonna be judged.
- When all around you is in chaos, you must be the hand that steers the ship. If you have a panic button, so will everyone else. Our ship can't have panic buttons.
- Don't be a celebrity quarterback. We don't need any of those. We need battlefield commanders that are willing to fight it out every day, every week, and every season, and lead their team to win after win after win.
Exactly how I read it.and TD passes? yet get your team into the endzone? sounds contradictory.
This 'rule' is probably one of the big reasons that divides the "dak is awesome" camp from the "dak is trash" side. This rule makes absolutely no sense...
9. Passing stats and TD passes are not how you're gonna be judged. Your job is to get your team in the endzone and that's how you're gonna be judged.
Uhhh, hello? To get into the endzone, you need good passing stats and accumulated TDs, unless all you plan on doing is running the ball. Good luck with that since you would need one of the best Olines and RBs.
What a horrible take. This 'rule' is probably one of the big reasons that divides the "dak is awesome" camp from the "dak is trash" side.
This is a coach trying to explain to a QB that their 'stat line' doesn't matter one iota. What matters is the result. So at the end of the day.. who cares if you had 4 passing TDs if your team lost. Far better to have 0 passing TDs but your team has won because you controlled TOP and/or took the rushing yards and/or found another way.
I think this is one of Daks BIGGEST weaknesses.. he is all about him.. all about his pretty stats so he can justify his ridiculously stupid contract.. the dude is a bus driver.. IF he played as a bus driver.. he may well have a ring right now. Instead we haven't even got to the Championship game.. let alone SB. Daks ego is a big big problem.
Dak would do well to read and understand these rules.. he fails on all bar 2 of them.. and that is why I don't care what his stat line reads.. he is a bad QB for this team.
4..5..7..8..9...11... He needs to work on...Alot... But 7 years in.. Dak has peaked..Only thing we can hope for is he learns to read the field / coverages better.. That should be realistic.. But 7 years is a long time and it hasnt happened yet. Not consistently .....Came across this, an interesting read to see how well Dak has held up............ think he's done pretty well with most but some inconsistency with #7 and 8 but a number of factors ( not all the QB's fault ) can impact their outcome also.

The Cowboys would be a lot better if he was a game manager.. Hard to lead the league in picks when you get 20 attempts a game.. So is missing 5 games and still leading the league.. So never say never? What a horrible take.
At first, you Dak critics used to get upset about how Dak wasn't a passing QB and how he was just a game manager with no arm talent. Now, since the past 4+ years with Dak lighting it up with the pass, you all are saying the exact opposite how Dak needs to stop passing for big yards because he's supposedly selfish, but instead, now he just needs to be a game manager. Wow, make up y'all's mind. What is Dak? A game manager or a selfish stats building passer?
I doubt dak has read this or any of his coaches have lolCame across this, an interesting read to see how well Dak has held up............ think he's done pretty well with most but some inconsistency with #7 and 8 but a number of factors ( not all the QB's fault ) can impact their outcome also.

So you throw 2 TDs and lose 21-17. Why?This rule makes absolutely no sense...

He has a winning record On the road at home and against winning teams. And he has owned the NFCE teams since he was a rookie! Aint nothing wrong with Dak Problem is with fans that do not know what they are watching! He fails on the most important rule of all: win the dang game.
The only fail was 7. Dak has had 3 yrs with double digit turnovers that has outside affects. But look at the yrs. 2017(13), the yr of nfls agenda of Elliot. 2019(11) no wrs until Amari traded for, then dak took off. And this 2022(17) again wr issues. If Dallas gets him capable weapons then he should return back to form. You know you have wr problems when 1 wr has more than half if the wr productionCame across this, an interesting read to see how well Dak has held up............ think he's done pretty well with most but some inconsistency with #7 and 8 but a number of factors ( not all the QB's fault ) can impact their outcome also.

I take this as Parcells saying it's ok to hand the ball off to the RB to score and not worry about your personal TD stats. This rule makes absolutely no sense...

Conveniently left of the 2nd part."Passing stats and TD passes are not how you're gonna be judged."
Many members of this forum only see the stats and think Dak is the best thing since sliced bread.
