Part #1 of the season is complete. The 'Boys are 7-3.

Part #2 begins in <14 days.

How will Dallas approach the last 6 games of the season? These 6 games are basically a pre-playoffs. Every game will be intense in my opinion.

Cons: 4 out of 6 games are road games. 4 divisional games, 3 of them on the road. Play @ Chi and host Indy. No gimmes left (@ Wash closest thing to a gimme).

Pros: Get Philly on Thanksgiving. Get Philly twice with Mark Sanchez. Get a bye week to rest before 2 games in 11 days. We are probably (to be determined - Indy/Philly) better than any of our opponents.

4-2 gets us a wildcard (barring historical bad luck - see NE). 4-2 might win division, who knows.

3-3 gets us into wildcard hell. You can check playoff thread for full details on that.

2-4 probably sends us into a very disappointing end.

5-1 or 6-0 - well, are these reasonable possibilities?

I don't see how 4 of 6 on the road is a negative. You know we're undefeated on the road this year, right?

Yes, we are 4-0 on the road. But that doesn't mean that we will have any easier go on the road in the last 4 road games. Especially with 3 of those being divisional.

We don't have the hardest schedule in the league, but it has a few problems.

Having said that we should be favored in 3 of our 4 road games. Not in Philly.

So we should go 3-1 on the road. We should handle Philly at home, but 1-1 at home would not surprise me. 4-2 is definitely possible. 3-3 would probably mean we dont have the momentum or to do damage in the playoffs if we get there. 5-1 would make me much more optimistic, because it means we are winning tough games in colder weather. 2-4 would be a disappointment.

I will say that I would not mind having to go through Arizona in the playoffs if Dallas doesn't get the #1 seed (which is looking unlikely).

Arizona reminds me a lot of Kansas City last year.

2 games against Seattle, 1 @ SF, @ KC, @St. Louis, home against Detroit. There are a lot of potential losses in there.

I feel like 1 or 2 defeats and things could start going in a different direction.

Im happy how its turned out so far thats for sure. But the next 6 games are really really tough especially that colts game. Thats the best team on our schedule. Plus 4 division games and a bears team that has owned us but they dont look so great. We need at least 3 more wins to think about the playoffs. It just might take 11 wins to guarantee a spot in the postseason.

on a side note if dallas finishes 8-8 im changing my team to the browns jk

There's 3 games on the schedule the Cowboys must win to even be in the conversation of playoffs:

@NYG
PHI (Thanksgiving)@ Washington.

I say the first Philly game because that's at home, and I don't want them going into game #2 without the safety net of winning the first game against them.

They have no business losing to New York and Washington. Those are beatable teams considering what is on the line. I could see us running the Giants out of the building, and we probably can beat Washington in the rematch.

Chicago is the swing game. they are not a great team and we can beat them with our current scheme. But it's at their house on primetime and that game concerns me because it comes at a time where we'd be due a let down game. Winning that game will be the ticket to a 4-2 run….

I can't predict us beating Indy/Philly#2 just yet with our current body of work. And for that reason I think this team in some combination of ways, goes 3-3 down the stretch. Maybe we steal a game we shouldn't really win, or we lose one to a divisional team that we shouldn't lose. I just don't see 4 wins on the schedule right now.

But I think 10-6 will be enough to get us in.

@NY- win
Phi- win
@Chi- win
@Phi-win
Ind- win
@Was-loss

We play NY better at their house.

Without Foles, Sanchez will struggle against us in both meetings. I also see losses from Philly against GB and Seattle.

Chicago is a mess and they'll continue to sink.

Indy will be our toughest opponent. Their defense swarms around the ball like ours and Hilton will be tough to cover.

I anticipate us resting players and lose a close one in Washington.

I can see us going 4-2 and a 6-0 would awesome, but I always look at it a week at a time and anything can happen in the NFL. Lets hope for the best but be prepared for the worse just in case

I think Dallas still has a shot at home field advantage. Philly is our only threat for the division and they'll be without their starting QB for the season. I think people are forgetting just how bad Mark Sanchez is. Arizona just lost Carson Palmer for the year and they don't have a backup. People forget how bad Arizona's QB situation was prior to Palmer. The NFC South is a joke. The Saints can make the playoffs at 5-11. Our biggest threat comes down to the NFC North with the Lions and Packers. I think we can finish ahead of both teams. At worst I see us getting a 1st round bye. I have us going 5-1, only losing to the Colts.
