How will this season end?

Well we're gonna have to revoke your fan card.

We'll need the foam finger too.

I've always said I'm not the fan most on here are. I'm in another NFL city. My Cowboys fix is on here though. I like the arguing! My dad is the foaming at the mouth Cowboys fan.

"How will his season end?"

If the past few seasons are any indication, with a humiliating loss.

"There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth"

Not well. I thought the Raider game was the most likely win left on the schedule. Now I think it is the Commanders who laid down like dogs today.

Just because a fan gives up with his team in first place with 6 to play, it doesn't mean we revoke his foam finger. He can keep it to pair with his foam backbone.

They really ought to start selling sliver and blue foam hearts and foam backbones in training camp. Use the money to buy billboards in the DFW area to let Jerry Jones know that fans don't like him very much.

I guess some of our fans just aren't willing to accept the steaming pile of crap they see every week on the field regardless of the fact that the division is at an all time worst and that might allow them a meaningless playoff berth.

It's meaningless because you have no chance to compete in the postseason. You can give the any given Sunday talk. I'm telling you they have no chance. Save the thread. Meet me back here in January. I'll be right.

I'd venture to say it's not those fans who allow our lunatic owner the freedom to destroy this franchise. It's the fans that are willing to accept anything they're force fed, as some kind of evidence of their loyalty to the team, that give him a blank check to continue his nonsense year after year after year with no worry of it ever hitting him in his wallet.

He is a she since you are referring to me. I don't appreciate the backbone comment but you're free to think as you wish. As am I.

However emphatic you may be, RS, the fact is neither of us know how the season will turn out. That's what makes the NFL fun.

You're generalizing about this season based off of the last two, which makes some sense. I won't debate you on it, because I also see that we can't stop anybody defensively right now, and the prospects for that changing look pretty grim.

And LOL at your assertion that fans of either stripe are 'allowing' anything. We're fans. We root for our team because it's fun to watch the games and because we really want to see them win. Or because we have a masochistic need to watch and then complain about what we just saw. I'm not here to say either objective is better than the other.

The reality is, though, that this team is still in contention. And anything might happen in 7 weeks in an NFL season. All of us who've watched the league as much as every member of CZ has know that to be fundamentally true.

And playoff berths aren't ever meaningless.

7-9 no playoffs red and kiffen here next year and 7-9 next year too.

Oops, sorry! I knew that. Just wasn't paying close attention.

Sorry you didn't like the backbone comment. It wasn't meant to be anything more than the playful corollary to the foam finger crack. And it *was* in relation to you specifically saying "I've given up on the season" at a point where the team is (was, now) tied with PHI for first place in the NFCE.

I predicted 9-7 before the season started. I'll stick to that.
