Hypothetical. I knocked on wood. No jinxes.

A win would be the sweetest of all. It feels better to fight adversity and come out on top imo. This team has been doubted, left for dead, and even mocked. Nobody thought we could do what we did with Prescott out. But we held our own with Rush. Nobody ever thought we would break the Brady curse. But we did. It seems we play better when backed into a corner. Personally, it would show that, just like in life, things are not determined on paper. A great or bad performance one week does not necessarily predict the next week. A Cowboys SB win would show mental toughness and resolve. I need resolve in my life. The ability to overcome adversity. Maybe my football team winning (Or getting close) it all could lead me to overcome the odds.

The great thing about our sport is that regular season success does not necessarily equate to a guaranteed title. It's also what can be so tragic. There are so many variables (Matchups, officiating, Injuries, coaching, and luck) that determine the outcome of a game. Simply having a more talented team on paper is not enough. Not in the cap era. Otherwise, the Rams annihilate the Patriots in Super Bowl 36. Patriots go 19-0. We get to the Super Bowl in 07. The best team isn't the team that always wins it.

The more success you have, the higher the expectations. To not meet those expectations hurts.

Losing a Super Bowl would hurt. It would not be devastating sans a Saints non call situation or Falcons type collapse. But it would hurt for a bit. Because if we get there, it will feel like we are a team of destiny. Sometimes, however, it does not work out that way.

So, how would a potential Cowboys SB win/loss this year impact you?
About a week if I never log on to CowboysZone again.

Until they win a Super Bowl if I continue logging on to CZ.

I would enjoy it, of course, but it's not a life-changing event unless you're participating in it or bet a lot of money on it.

Probably buy some new Cowboys gear, but other than that, just a very happy Monday.

I am puzzled how anyone would say that a Cowboys win would impact their life as at the end of the day it's a game that has zero impact on everyday life.....unless of course someone allows their life to be centered around a sports team.

It wouldn't
I try not to let something I can't control have that much control over my life. I very much want them to win but ultimately there is nothing I can do about it. What I hate is living in Eagle country so I have to live with that S**T.

When I was younger, a Cowboys win / loss would affect me the following day. Now I realize that it is for entertainment just like the World Cup.

A loss in the SB would be disappointing but life does go on.
My Dad is a huge Cowboys fan. He said he shed a few tears after the 94 Championship game loss. A team wins a SB every year. There is nothing unique or really special about that. Several teams have repeated. No team has threepeated. That would have been something truly legendary.

But yes life does go on. Win or lose.
