I have to say you don't see posts like this on the message boards of other teams. Maybe it's desperation from the decades of humiliation. I will go with 'it won't'

The only impact on my life would be that I’d be extremely happy all off-season. But that’s about it.

Hypothetical. I knocked on wood. No jinxes.

A win would be the sweetest of all. It feels better to fight adversity and come out on top imo. This team has been doubted, left for dead, and even mocked. Nobody thought we could do what we did with Prescott out. But we held our own with Rush. Nobody ever thought we would break the Brady curse. But we did. It seems we play better when backed into a corner. Personally, it would show that, just like in life, things are not determined on paper. A great or bad performance one week does not necessarily predict the next week. A Cowboys SB win would show mental toughness and resolve. I need resolve in my life. The ability to overcome adversity. Maybe my football team winning (Or getting close) it all could lead me to overcome the odds.

The great thing about our sport is that regular season success does not necessarily equate to a guaranteed title. It's also what can be so tragic. There are so many variables (Matchups, officiating, Injuries, coaching, and luck) that determine the outcome of a game. Simply having a more talented team on paper is not enough. Not in the cap era. Otherwise, the Rams annihilate the Patriots in Super Bowl 36. Patriots go 19-0. We get to the Super Bowl in 07. The best team isn't the team that always wins it.

The more success you have, the higher the expectations. To not meet those expectations hurts.

Losing a Super Bowl would hurt. It would not be devastating sans a Saints non call situation or Falcons type collapse. But it would hurt for a bit. Because if we get there, it will feel like we are a team of destiny. Sometimes, however, it does not work out that way.

So, how would a potential Cowboys SB win/loss this year impact you?
Nothing at all save laughing even harder at the Dak turds on here.

Very minimal impact either way, but win would be better.
Unless you work for the Dallas Cowboys, or own part of the organization, it shouldn't have that much affect on you.
.
In fact I'll go further and say, if it does have a negative effect on how you treat others, you're a loser, and should immediately seek professional help.

just winning this game today is all we need to at least quiet the 27 years crowd and bust even more narratives..getting to a SB would be awesome but not effect me one way of anther in my regular life other then added happiness and pride the Boyz got back there..

however, in these forums debating alleged fans , just getting the NFCCG changes many narratives as did last weeks game. we need healing and that what i hope for just win today!!

It wouldn't
This. When the Mavs won in 2011, it was very fun in the moment right when it happened. And even the aftermath the day after. But after that? Meh. Life went on as normal.

I love watching sports as entertainment the same as I watch movies/tv shows and listen to movies. Read books. They are a supplement to my life but don't change my life. These players aren't my friends, family or my fiance.

My life? Not much.

My existence on this board? Very much so. My biggest issue has always been that I believe Jerry has been a mediocre GM who has no clue how to build a SB caliber team on his own. If they win a SB, that puts it all to rest.

A win would be a very pleasant occurrence that would put me in a good mood for days. A loss would be a disappointment, but nothing I wouldn't get over in a few days or so. Life is full of ups and downs. Being an adult, a football loss is well within my opts for a quick recovery. Long ago, I made it my personal policy to keep my negative emotions for a football game loss at arm's length. There's an enormous difference between a disappointment and a grievous tragedy.

If I have to work the next day, it might affect my life and the lives of others drastically, because I won't be able to get to sleep, and the next day I'll be hauling 5-20 tons of lumber on no sleep.

If everyone survives that, I'll strut around in my Cowboys gear (only the stuff that can get ripped or dirty without really bothering me) for a week or so.

Then, back to life as usual.

Well, then it'll be all about how McCarthy won it in spite of the Joneses.

It would take a while to adjust all my opinions about how the team is constructed and who is good.

Now that I've contracted an aggressive Cancer and moving soon to Palliative Care, it would mean the WORLD to me...
