How would you feel if Dallas traded for Kyle Pitts?

I think a first rounder for him is doable but risky because he hasn’t have that monster year yet in terms of tds and receptions.

pitts went 4th. pitts is the superior athlete and few can stand with him in that regard. he had a great first season. i haven't watched enough of mayer to have a good opinion.

I don't think trading for Jonnu Smith will impact what they do with Pitts. Smith is a #2 TE even if he is getting a top 10 TE salary.

I'd love for this to happen but wonder where this is coming from? Given what has been going on in ATL, it would be a steal for a 1st round pick. Hopefully, where there is smoke there is fire, but think this is just rumor fodder.

Even in today's game 1st round RBs outperform the other ones with few exceptions.
This isn't a passing league. It's a passing and running league. There is very little difference in the ratio.

One consistent thing about talent. The most talented players are drafted higher. At any position the odds of hitting on a stud is better in the top round. There are exceptions but overall the first brings the best players

Pitts went to the Pro Bowl and for 1,000+ as a rookie on a terrible Falcons team. Last year I give him a pass since that Atlanta passing game was just an absolute train wreck. The dude is still a matchup nightmare and would be blowing the doors off this league if he had one of the better QBs throwing to him. If Atlanta would take a second rounder, I make the deal in a heartbeat.

They just traded for Jonnu Smith and have been absolutely clueless as to how to use him.

I know his production has been bad but there is a small video I’ve seen of the guy running free and the QB just overthrowing him over and over.

It takes these TEs sometime to develop and I still believe in his talent.
