The irony is that our bus driver is demanding a shorter deal ( 4 years ) while Jerry wants to stretch it to 5. How dumb is that . 5 years with a regressing inaccurate expensive dude at QB.
Correct.
I think the team is getting ready to make a big change at QB.
I think they have gone as far as they want to risk the team with Dak.
Aaron Roger's or Drew Brees he is not.
Quietly Dallas is looking at their options I believe.
They leaked that video clip of Jones interviewing a top QB in the draft the other day.
Clearly this is a message to Dak and his agent. Come to reasonable terms..
Or they will draft a QB high and withdraw the Tag on Dak and use his money elsewhere.
I do not think they are bluffing.
lol. And Aikman's career 61.5% completion rate in your eyes wasn't inaccurate.
I believe it is said..
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
When I was younger, I used to look at a contemporary and their GF or spouse..
and say to myself..
"What does he see in her?"
She may not be pretty by my standards..
or she has the personality of a rattlesnake, whatever.
Then as you spent time around them and understood why it worked.
The wife was a great mother or a good cook or was good company.
She was not everything to everybody, but our friend would not go bar hopping when you called him.
Same thing here. Aikman did not have the highest completion average out there.
But he won. Period.
His identity is he was a winner.
Dak has not acquired that yet. He may never.
Cowboy history is littered with guys who were not crowned winners.
Danny White, Don Meredith, Craig Morton and others.
Dak may end up like that.
Jim Plunkett started out with NE, played well but fell from grace, went to Oakland and won SBs.
Dak may or may not be similar. He has to do it. We can debate until the cows come home.
But he simply has to do it.
