Remember the 2023 season? Dallas ended 12-5 with some bad losses before being beaten badly by GB. Philly pretty much crashed after mid season but limped into the playoffs only to get whipped soundly at TB. I posted a thread asking who would respond better in 2024....Dallas or the Eagles. Most of we posters here said the Eagles. Well we were ever right!!!
The reason was FO leadership. Philly had competent and talented Roseman and Co; Dallas had the inept Jones and son. No surprise at all how 2024 went for the two teams....no surprise at all.

They are far from clueless, they just don’t spend money. Pushing those cap hits down the road require them to write checks to the players now. Profitability outweighs wins to these guys. If they were truly this dumb I could give them a pass. The big issue is they’re playing morons so they can con the fans.

It’s pretty simple. There are teams out there - and we have a pretty good idea who they are - with front offices geared towards football excellence and building the best roster they possibly can under the rules of the current system.

The Cowboys could choose to at least try to operate in that space. But they’re not interested in football excellence as much as they’re into publicity and visibility.

Remember: Jerry Jones had stood on the podium after Super Bowls as the owner of the best team in football. The man has three Lombardis in his trophy case.

And, ultimately, he chooses this.

He prefers what he has now. They don’t care what we think or how we feel. This isn’t for the fans. And it’s not changing anytime soon.
