Kinks that idea. Well then, if SD is out of the picture I hope he gets a shot with some NFL team out there. The false accusation was so egregious, it makes me pull for this kid to have his NFL dream somehow come back to life.

So when does she start serving time?

6 years will never amount to what she's taken from him. Too bad she can't get life for ruining his.

Nice job criminal justice system. You let an innocent kid who would've most likely made the pros sit behind bars for a crime he didn't committ.

Not the justice system's fault.

Good to hear.

When it comes to sex crimes, you are always presumed guilty until proven innocent, especially as a male.

Perhaps not, but his plight was the fault of his case's law enforcement investigators, prosecutor, jury and judge. His accuser and her family are to blame for initiating his arrest, but all of the aforementioned members involved in his case are to blame for his incarceration.

Thankfully, he was blessed that the California Innocence Project took his case. In this instance, they are an example of how the justice system should correctly work. It's just a crying shame that they were compelled to fix this miscarriage of justice which should have never happened.

Freaking terrible. There are a ton of words I am currently using to describe this money grubbing mutant that did this to him, but fortunately for my Zoner status they are all censored.

Is there any way this hooker scumbag can get jail time? Please tell me there is.

I hope he can get a shot at a college. If he can latch on for a few years maybe he can get a shot with a team.

Not only that, this stupid **** sued the school system and got a 1.5 million dollar settlement. Hope they take back every penny and then some.

I'm generally pro-system, but I do think it's the justice system's fault. I would imagine that he told investigators that he was innocent and instead of seeking for the truth, they seemed to do the opposite. Remember, the accuser says that they never had intercourse, so I don't see how investigators could claim rape.

That woman should be in prison for the length of time he was in prison THEN have to serve her sentence for having him falsely put in prison, THEN serve her sentence for stealing the $1.5M.

His lawyer is the one who pleaded no contest.

on the child's instructions and based on the case the prosecution had.

lawyers do not plead their client's guilty without specific instructions

and HE is part of the system so many say is blameless

You don't have to accept the plea. The judge will ask the defendant himself if this is what he wants. Also the defense attorney is his attorney if he has problems with him he can fire him.

I'm putting the blame where it belongs and that is this girl who swore under oath that she was sexually assaulted by this guy.

This is a horrible story. And there's a special place in hell for people like his false-accuser.

Wow.. I hope he makes the Chargers and if not I hope we give him a shot. His life was stolen from him by a heartless *****. I imagine death would be a more favorable option than what he went through.
