Yeah.

What I would like to see out of this team next is the same determination on the field... 60 minutes... every game.... in the playoffs... etc.

Its starts at the top. Jerry is doing his part. This team has some catching up to do.

Just curious, but did Wade hire Houck to be his OL coach, or did Jerry?

Dude, don't you get it? This was all the work of Brian Gaine. He's clearly the one who gave Jerry the info before he went out the door.

From here on, though, we're d0000med.

You're welcome to ask dbair. I told him about 9 or 10 hours ago that Garrett was staying and Houck was coming on board.

Thump thump.

Nice! First Garret decides to stay and now Houck is on board.

Call me crazy but I'm starting to feel a little bit better.

is this good or bad cause the dolphins line has sucked the whole time he was there?
Houck, who won two Super Bowl rings with the Cowboys in the 1990s, said he holds no ill feelings toward Parcells or Ireland, and expressed sympathy toward Cameron. The only parting shot he took was at former General Manager Randy Mueller, fired Monday.

"I thought (Cameron) was pretty well-prepared. Our meetings were no different than some of the Super Bowl teams I've been on," he said. "The only difference was the type of players we had. The other places I've been, we just had better players."

well I hope this is good. I trust this organization to hire coaches.

Doug free is going to need a good coach when he is starting next year so houck hopefully can mold him into the player we need.

Hey dbair1967, told ya.

We should have never let him go. BLame Coslett for that moronic move.

I just hope JJ has a flamethrower handy cuz Houck "doesn't have enough fire in his belly".

The Dolphins OL had some injuries and lack of talent. You can't make pro bowlers out of Torrin Tucker-like players. HH only got fired by Parcells cause HH had no history with Parcells and we all know that is Bill's criteria.

Parcells likes an O-Line that can move, trap and counter. Hudson is more of a straight ahead man-to-man blocking coach.

I'm glad we got him, but I also thought Sparano was a good coach here.

Hudson Houck on ...

Hudson Houck preferred not to comment about possibly returning to the team he was the offensive line coach for in the '90s. He is expected to be named the team's next offensive line coach, probably in the next couple of days. The only thing he'd say was, "There are some things in the works."

Take that to mean whatever you want, but one NFL source said that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones contacted Houck shortly after it was learned that Tony Sparano would leave to accept the head coaching position with the Dolphins.

Houck also said he thought something would be out in the next couple of days, but did not comment specifically about the Cowboys.

Houck was the Cowboys offensive line coach from 1993 to '01.

Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said he thought something would be done about this position quickly.
