HUMOR: Put a "name" to Garrett's offense.

The NFL has the "West Coast Offense", the "Run and Shoot", etc., as named offenses. Ours is a supposed version of the "Timing Offense", but Garrett has added such a level of ineffectiveness to his offense that it deserves its own name.

So, what would you name it?

The "Garrett Timing Offense" sounds too generic. If I had to name it, I would call it the "Prevent Offense" because much like a prevent defense that is sure to do counter to what defense is designed to do - and that is prevent yards and points - Garret's "Prevent Offense" surely does what an offense should not, and that is kill drives with predictable, unimaginative play calling that never takes advantage of what the defense is giving up.

So I'm calling it the "Prevent Offense".

What would you call it?

Funny. I was going to come in and call it the Prevent Offense as well. Because the Prevent Offense and Prevent Defense is what cost us that 4th quarter.

I would call it.

The offense that took it to Jim Johnsons efense twice.

the offense that was good enough to beat monte kiffins without the qb.

the offense that whipped and confused gregg williams defense the first time they played.

the offense that dismantled lovie smiths top rated unit on the road.

the offense that whipped steve spagnualo's unit twice last year.

and finally the offense that had dick lebeau's unit confused and left chasing our players. the field position and wind really hurt them in the end.

Should I keep going. cause the coaching and play calling was fine.

How about "Inconsistant Offense", or "Blow-up In Your Face Offense". or "Won't Put My Players In The Spot For Win Offense".

 if only we were playing an Owens Offense! :lmao2:

Well given the consensus that we need to get TO the ball in any way possible including handing the ball off to him thinking he's a running back, I'd say its accurate.

All good suggestions but a bit too long to be used as a nickname.

Oh, right, call me a fool because you can't offer a real retort related to the subject at hand. Nice! It's reminiscent of how Garret struggles to adjust to a defense. Jason, is that you? :lmao:

its not my fault you dont understand what your looking at when you watch a football game.

My only reccomendation is to watch more football. As much as you can. At some point you will start to get what is happening and start to get the feel of a game.

and as for your comment on playoff atmosphere and not playing good offense, We seemed to play pretty well against green bay last year. The offense was tremendous.

I will just let you yell at me for not understanding and having this great insight that you have on what the offense was trying to do.
