Sometimes Jerry do Jerry.
Come on man. You’re better than that (seriously).
That is what people do who are just wrong about a guy and just can’t admit it. That’s what people have been doing about being wrong about Deuce Vaughn. After saying all camp that no way will Deuce make the team, that is their fallback when he made it. “
Deuce shouldn’t have made the team, but because Jerry is stupid, he did. This team is just dumb.” Or something like that. I guess it makes them feel better than saying they were wrong.
Leupke isn’t Jerry being Jerry any more than Vaughn was. The team has an idea of how they want to use him, he can do a lot of things to help the offense, and there isn’t another back on the team like him. The team wants him there or they wouldn’t have used a valuable roster spot for him.
And all of this if from a guy (me) that said in this very thread that I didn’t think he was going to make the team. Well, I was wrong. The team wanted him on the roster and I didn’t think they would. It happens. To all of us here. We are wrong sometimes and right sometimes about personnel.
There is no need for me to say the team is wrong and I was right because the team knows way more about the player than I do.
*Now, watch the team cut him later today to add someone, lol. I will have the dubious honor of being wrong on both sides of the same argument in the same thread.
