I have seen several Cowboys mock drafts and this kids name seem to pop up in several of them late in the draft. I know McCarthy offenses over the years used FB as did other WCO offense. Guys like Tom Rathman SF and in GB with McCarthy John Kuhn. Do you think Cowboys will look to use a true FB especially short yardage?

I really hope he is targeted. I would take him in the 4th round.

Unless you are a primarily I formation offense (does anyone do that anymore?), why would you really need a FB? OL can play it in a pinch on short yardage situations.

This kid not your typical FB, can sidestep in a A-gap hole and then outrun db’s....wasn’t really used as a FB all that much to save wear tear.....has had hammy problems etc.....Wisconsin state wrestling champ. Good kid

Todays FB...........
Can he block in space?
Can he move a LB out of a hole?
Can he pick up a blitz?
Can he catch out of the backfield, and run with or faster than the LB's?
Can he get that short yardage?

If he can't do all these things, then you use a TE for some of it, a power back for some of it, and a OL for some of it.

Kind of depends on whether you want another TE on the field or another RB.
