Nice. I'm headed down to float the Frio for Labor Day weekend, but will be hitting the birds hard next week. Looks like bacon wrapped dove breast with a jalapeno slice for dinner.

I'm in Lufkin. Believe me, I like Rugers and Brownings more than an off the shelf Remington, but its so easy to change a Remington up, because of parts availability. Savage is pretty decent these days as well, really easy to change out barrels.

Small world. Lived here most of my life. Most likely some of your family would be familiar with my dad. He worked for Coca Cola here for 44 years. Seemed like he knew everyone.

Just a personnel feeling but I don't enjoy killing animals since the last time I went Dove hunting and downed a bird then it's mate came circling around and landed near the downed bird and tried nudghing it back to life. Haven't been hunting since.
