Hurt Longterm

You definitely don’t want players or coaches that quit. However I do think you want a FO whose ultimate goal is to win a championship and has a plan as to how to go about that. This organization should have switched from win now mode to win in the future mode once Dak went down. CeeDee is banged up, Ferg is banged up, Micah is banged up. Shut those guys down. Let Fluornoy, Turpin, Mingo develop. See what you have in Schoon. Let Overshown get experience as the top guy out there. On top of that start Lance. All of this will build up your role players and reduce mileage on your stars and your draft position improves at the same time. The kinds of players this team needs (DL, OT, QB) are usually hard to find if you don’t draft top 10. This team can bounce back really quickly with a good HC hire and drafting well.
So are you basically saying allow the FO to say who and who does not play?
Therefore undermining the coaches doing their jobs. Fans accuse Jerry of doing that anyway. Then complain when he doesn't.

I agree, play Lance, I wanted them to.

So they are team tank ... they do not know or understand competitive sports. Like many fans.

So fans want players and a FO and coaches that give up on the season. Many players are playing for new contracts with Dallas, or another team. As well as pride.
Also many players have contract incentives.
I remember years ago, a player needed a certain percentage of plays to get like a $500,000 bonus. Dallas was out of the playoffs. But Jerry and the coaches wanted that player to play to get that bonus.

Drafting 8th or 15th is not going to put this team in the SB.

I do not want a team or players that quits.
You never want to quit. Though I would have played Lance myself. They do seem to be getting young players more reps though some is due to injury. But I’d be playing all the young guys as much as possible

You win splitting hairs wars.

Congratulations on your, "I can find some trivial point to argue about" award.
I will stay with facts. You keep posting emotional exaggerations. Just do not be surprised when someone calls you out.

You disagree with the facts? Landry had 30 years of winning seasons meaning he was drafting later in the draft and was still competitive.

You don't agree. I'm fine with that. I just look at it as you are either too young to have lived those years, or you're older than I am and your memory is weak.

More emotional nonsense.

You cant tell backups to throw games, they have a limited window to show what they have, this wont happen..second you cant make the other team better, everyone needs to take a breath and realize this part of the schedule is ridiculously easy, to tank against NY would have taken moves that dont hide what they are doing and they would just lose those "Premium" draft picks some are looking for...this roster will lose more because every team left isnt a trash team...

Ive actually switched my stance on this.

I was on #teamtank whenever there was no hope for the current season. Now I say, win the games that are there to be won unless you have full intentions of drafting a quarterback.

Our best players (and some are at the top in the league at their position) in the last decade, werent even top-10 picks.

Micah
Ceedee
Zack Martin
Diggs
Tyler Smith

Just because you want to start an argument doesn't mean I have to give you the satisfaction.

We done.
Bye!
See ya at your lemonade stand when you give senior discounts!

And look up the word *usually*

Meh, it's a bad draft class anyway. If you don't have a top 4 pick in this class, you're not getting a true blue-chip stud. The player who goes 10th this year looks like the kind of guy who'd go 15th-20th in most seasons.

Earlier picks are always better, but we're not exactly leaving Tyron Smith and JJ Watt on the board by winning some games this season.

It's a paradox. I don't want players that want to quit, and it's nice to see them start playing well. But, it's also reasonable to understand that, in the long term, this team has 0 shot to win it all this year and for a team who builds almost exclusively through the draft, having higher picks is ideal. Additionally, it sends Jerry a message that he's failed as a GM, which he was clearly finally starting to hear based on his angry reactions to the warranted criticism about his team building, or lack thereof.

Rage? That's you with your lies and CAPITAL LETTERS.

Once again, more lies from you just like the rest of the Dak haters.
I don't lie. He's choked multiple times in the playoffs. If you don't see that, you're blind. And you keep ignoring the fact that I said he's usually a good regular season QB. And yes, Rage. It is the only explanation for how irrationally you defend Dak to the point of ignoring what people say and inserting what you think they say instead.

Cavanaugh/Braoddus both say it is GREAT to win meaningless games but this is hurting the team overall. The offense is poor and lacks scoring ability.

"So while short-term Dallas fans wants wins now, hurts the future team. Dallas is playing their way out of better players."

Then they both stated: "Dallas has a phobia with DL. If you taken Hutchinson instead of Taco, you have a better taste with Michigan players"

It doesn’t help when the so-called GM is trading value draft picks for bubble players!
