We choose to let him play it out this season on his current number. Are we really going to enter contract negotiations with him then? If we don't like his offer now, we're going to like it later??? Later it's going to be way more than it is now. I don't get the hold up, put this conversation out of its misery please. Come out and say "we've seen his agents numbers, it doesn't align with what we feel at the moment!" "If he gets us further in the playoffs/Superbowl, we will happily make him the highest paid QB ever!"

Dak is greedy.

He and France knows he will get more in FA than what he will in Dallas. Everyone knows how this ends.

Dak is gone.
Mountain you've been a fan for how many years, you HAVE to leave that little space in your head for Jerry to do the unthinkable!!! SURE he hasn't gotten us far as we could have been with the talent we've had around him, but we have Jerry Jones here, he's very emotional, and makes emotional moves! Dak comes out this season and in the first 3-5 games he throws for 4329 yards, that's enough to show Jerry that things have changed and will magically work out for the good of this team! lol

Dak is going to have a really tough time putting up anywhere near the numbers he did last year. This schedule is much tougher defensively than what he faced last year.

I agree totally, but garbage moments are real!!!! If we're banged around in these games, and things start clicking late in the 4h quarter he racks up 492 yards, then Jerry is happy!

I don't think it matters much how well Dak plays this year. I think it really comes down to the overall impact on the rest of the team. The Cowboys are grappling with the problem of signing CeeDee and Micah, along with Diggs, Bland, and Ferguson. Jerry is thinking is it better to have those other guys and a less expensive QB or Dak without some of those other guys.

I think we know what Dak is at this point. He is a solid starting QB, even good enough to win with the right team. But he is not capable to taking a lesser team all the way. The conundrum is if they overpay Dak they can't put the team behind him that he needs to win. If they don't pay him, they don't have an alternative.

I have to believe that unless Dak completely implodes Russel Wilson style in 2024 he's going to get $65M per year next year. Him having not signed yet tells me that either Dak is hesitant to resign with the Cowboys again, or the Cowboys are basically anticipating Dak failing this year to drop his price tag. Neither of those scenarios are good.

Dak needs to quit his greediness crap and help the team out with a discount...if he truly cared about this franchise which has helped him out so much.

Define great season.

Historically Dak puts up good numbers in the regular season but can't seem to get things going in the post season. So it depends on what metric you use to define great season. No it's not all his fault but no one else on this team will make 50+ a year.

If Dak takes the next step and produces in the playoffs when it counts then he deserves a big contract.

If he only plays well in the regular season against bad teams and the NFC east like he has done in the past ....... then he does not deserve a new contract.

Its simple.

I think he has already reached his ceiling and will not be able to win a Superbowl with a Jerry Jones run team.

Could he win a Superbowl with a better front office? I think so ....... but not here.

Do you truly believe he feels that way, the fact that he said he's not afraid to play with another team that was good to hear him take that stance regardless of whatever happens

You will be proven wrong once again, Siriani. Will you leave to the Eagles boards once Dak is resigned? I doubt it.
How many Eagles fans have you ever seen say they want Dak gone?

Dak guarantees no success for the Cowboys.

Dak has the worst record ever in the playoffs for a QB with at least 5 starts.

Eagles fans hope Dak is with the Cowboys forever.

But hey, knock yourself out.

It would hurt to see him win somewhere else, but other players have won Rings in other places so it's understandable. It's kind of hard for the front office to know what to do when you say it like this, if they KNEW he takes us far in the playoffs it would be easier, but knowing what he's done over the years I guess they're finally realizing it and don't want to get fleeced again like they did 4 years ago

If you played and understood football, you would understand what happened, why and not spew such fallacies. It doesn't matter. The Cowboys know what they have in Dak and will resign him this year. Complain and taunt all you want. It's going to happen whether you like it or not.

If I put myself in Daks shoes and I wonder why he would want to stay with the Cowboys. They sit out free agency while division rivals load up, then when the fans start asking questions the owner puts the blame on guys like Dak for their contract situations. Jerry has typically given mixed messages to the media about Dak, waited to the last minute to pay the guy the first time around, and just in general it seems like Dak/Jerry have not had a great working relationship, and it's spilled over to where a good chunk of the fans have become anti Dak.

The guy could easily go to another large market, rack up the endorsement deals, sell millions of jerseys with a new team/ fresh jersey, get paid every dime he demands, and get a fresh start with a new fan base who will embrace him at least at first. I would think leaving would be a very attractive option for Dak at this point.

Does it suck knowing you’re synonymous with “Dak fan”?

That long after he’s gone, if you don’t stop posting, you’ll never be able to get that stink off you? You’ll never be taken serious and will just be used as comedic relief.

That has to suck, but then again, that’s the danger when you become player over team like you have with Dak.

The player leaves, but the team remains, and your reputation forever tarnished.
