I am kind of perplexed as to their thinking at OG

You will need to back that one up with something.

Farniok's PFF score was a complete belly flop at 39.1. McGovern was near league average.
Left guard only snaps (Not RG or FB)

Our backup Oline is not as good as the starters...somehow this doesnt drive me crazy, but if your running out of things to worry about, go ahead.

They are going to have to move Alarcon back to offense at this rate.

They could come back in the 4th and grab an OG but after that, it's mostly projects.

They must be banking on the belief Steele is ahead of schedule and Tyron will stay healthy allowing Tyler Smith to play LG. Seems like a real risky plan.

Farniok is blah. Ball? Please. They had an up close look at what a dominant OL could do at the height of Frederick/Smith/Martin and yet for some reason, they seem content with pretty mediocre play at OC and LG.
I don’t get it. Farniok is like Biadasz, they are centers not guards. We signed the vet who can play guard but more of a depth guy
I just don’t get the thinking

Maybe they really like Chuma, they pursue him for a while before finally signing him this year. Hope they have an ace under the sleeve.

May be they didnt like any OL prospects in the draft (out of top 10 ) so they may have a FA or two in mind , may be after draft sign one of them

I'm very frustrated as well, about the seeming blindness to the OG position. However, this must be what BPA, according to Will McClay, looks like. That takes the sting out of it a little. Regardless, we all believe that OG is a huge need!!!

Farniok is blah bro? That's why you fail to understand what the Cowboys are doing and why with their Oline. I do agree with you though on wishing they has picked up a decent interior Olineman by now. I won't be surprised if they do so late in the 5th round with their compensatory pick.

Farniok is barely mediocre. He actually graded out pretty poorly last year.
