I am kind of perplexed as to their thinking at OG

They could come back in the 4th and grab an OG but after that, it's mostly projects.

They must be banking on the belief Steele is ahead of schedule and Tyron will stay healthy allowing Tyler Smith to play LG. Seems like a real risky plan.

Farniok is blah. Ball? Please. They had an up close look at what a dominant OL could do at the height of Frederick/Smith/Martin and yet for some reason, they seem content with pretty mediocre play at OC and LG.
Who did you think they should have taken? O’Cyrus or Zavala.

I was all in on Avila but he went way ahead of our pick.

The thing this our oline is going to be competing against top notch dlines in the NFCE for a third of the regular season. Do we really expect that Tyron will play all year? And even if he does, he’s a shell of his former self. And that Steele will be fully healed by the start of the season? Never mind the fact we have no left guard. And Martin isn’t going to be around forever. Where is the rational roster planning in this organization?

The Mazi pick was a good one, but man, I can’t help but think they should have been building the oline in the 2nd and 3rd.
Tyron, when he’s healthy is definitely not a “shell of his former self”. He’s still a good OT.

I feel like the O Cyrus thing is going to take us back to when we should have taken TJ Watt but we went for scheme fit or whatever we were going for
Remind me to revisit this prediction when O’Cyrus is a perennial all-pro and a lock for the HOF after five years.

Sounds silly because it is.

Not every player a team doesn’t draft ends up in the HOF.

The backups are bad. Really seemed like a draft to bring in some young olinemen tp develop.
But it didn't seem that way to them.

Could’ve had
Kincaid
OTorrence
Darnell
Kincaid went before any of our picks.

I don't understand the fall of Torrence and Darnell but let's get real. It sure wasn't just the Cowboys letting both slide hard. Gotta think there was a medical issue or something we fans won't hear about.

This was a pathetically weak draft and yet both were on slip'n'slide.

i agree. There are still some OG options. I wouldn’t be mad if they used day 3 picks for a trade for a vet G/T and/or wr.

The drafting of this TE speaks volumes about what they think of Ferguson. They say he is a better blocker and he certainly is more athletic. Who do you think is going to be the starter in week 1 ?
Or it speaks volumes that they don’t have a clue what they are doing

First off they didn’t get a chance to draft a quality offensive lineman except at 26.

I think Farniok looked better in 2022 than McGovern looked in 2021.

Yup.

Steele is solid at RT and Tyron is still elite LT.
17 starts in the last 3 years is far from elite. He has proven he can't be trusted to stay healthy over the course of a season. Is what it is.......

You will need to back that one up with something.

Farniok's PFF score was a complete belly flop at 39.1. McGovern was near league average.

I don’t get it either.

I just hope that nobody starts trying to talk up Edoga or Ball as legit options because they failed to do anything.
Zavala is still available isn’t he? So is mafi.
