If all he cared about was winning, he would be more willing to cede some of the control over the franchise, cause the last 25 years is speaking loud and clear.

Jerry came to him and wanted TC moved back to San Antonio, he explained to BP how Ford wanted their trucks in Texas, cause it was their biggest market and they sold more there then CA and Dr Pepper wanted something similar. Even though practices were not as effective etc they moved back to San Antonio. One example of many, where Jerry wanted his cake and to eat it too, and put advertisers over winning.
