Starting him means you're tanking the season however putting him in on the second play means you're just trying to win. Lol

At this point who cares who plays? The season is lost and nothing good can happen to make it better.

If Moore comes in and lights it up, it will be good for the team. If anything else, a QB that shows he can play is excellent trade value.

Just ask all the teams that have had Matt Cassell throughout the years...

That doesn't help.

Don't know how good this source is but it says if things don't go good against the Jets then Moore will take over...So, in other words, Moore will get some playing time...prolly when we are down by 20.

Based on how the season has unraveled it's definitely a possibility that Moore will get a shot to play if Cassel stinks it up against the Jets on Saturday this team has nothing to play for other than pride at this point.

Playing Moore (For better or worse) would at the very least give me some interest in watching the game.

He is been in the league and with Scott Linehan fir 3 years, so we need to know if he is ever going to be a decent qb or not. If he is not, why waste next year roster spot on him than another your qb to groom and tun our scout team

Garrett owes it to the rest of the 52 players on the team to give the best chance at winning.
If he asks those 52 players to go out and give it their best to win. Then he needs the 53rd guy in the QB that helps give it the best. And right now that is Cassell, and whether one wants to admit it or not. We know it's right.

I want to see what Moore can do, but he does not give us the best chance.
Once eliminated, then we may see him, and I hope so. That is not saying they don't think Moore can win. But he has never played a down in the NFL. No coach would do that, whether you want to beleive they would or not.

Don't take a knife to a gun fight, though that is the way it seems it been. But Moroe still has a training blade or playing with blanks., so not the time to ask him to lead a meaningful game to those other 52 players.

He will get his chance, just not this week, or doubtful anyway.

We have no cb's. Our secondary is gonna get torched and we will be down by so much it won't matter.who plays qb.

.

Not going to admit something that is not true.

We have a defense that may not be getting turnovers but they are playing well enough to win games. We have an offense that can run the ball and we have receivers that have proven in the past that they can be successful. QB is the position that is holding us back the most and Cassell is the worst starter in the league at this point, you can't get much worse that worst.

I want Cassell from the NYG or the Philly game to come back. I don't mind more interceptions if we are scoring more points. Cassell's confidence is probably shot but our coaching staff is also transforming him into Brandon Weeden.

The Jets are one of the teams that scare me the least. Great defense that will give us some problems, but there offense isn't anything special. Much more worried about the Bills myself.

They average 25 ppg. Pretty sure they can move the ball with our lack of cb's. Claiborne isn't even likely to play too. So we have Carr, BJones, and Olatoye. Whoppie.

Say what you want about this team but we have had two games this year where we were "down so much that it didn't matter" and both of those games were against the best in the league (NE and CAR).

I would be willing to bet money that we will keep it close enough to give us some hope so we can be let down at the end.

But we had some depth at cb then. Now past Carr/Jones we have no one.

Not when you're record is 4-9.

We are not talking about this season, we are talking about the future. If Moore proves to be adequate but our staff is not sold on him but we can flip him for a pick to recoup one of the picks we gave up for Michael, Brown or Cassell...it's worth it. A 26 year old QB with one good game under his belt might be worth something to someone...even if he just helps us trade up in the sixth for a player we like.

Maybe we do, maybe we don't. Maybe our coaching staff just thinks the other guys are better. No other reason to cut Patmon unless you felt someone else could do his job better---not like it was a cap move.

I'm not concerned with what happens 9 months from now. I might not even be alive then.
