I really think if we were going to see Moore it probably would have happened by now

I'm not concerned with what happens 9 months from now. I might not even be alive then.

You said the season is lost...so you would think, being a Cowboys fan...you would at least hope for the best in regards to next season. If Moore can play, it will at least be something positive going into the offseason leading into next season.

I'm with you, the season is lost...it doesn't matter who plays. Matt Cassel doesn't have a future on this offseason, he has lost any shot he may have had in being the backup next season over the course of the last two games so it is time to move on. Kellen Moore probably doesn't have a future but nobody knows for sure until he plays.

We are not talking about this season, we are talking about the future. If Moore proves to be adequate but our staff is not sold on him but we can flip him for a pick to recoup one of the picks we gave up for Michael, Brown or Cassell...it's worth it. A 26 year old QB with one good game under his belt might be worth something to someone...even if he just helps us trade up in the sixth for a player we like.

If I was a team looking for a QB, I would not go for that hype on a QB.
So we play a QB to have him look good for a team to trade for him.

If I am a GM, I would be thinking, Dallas need a backup QB extremely bad, so now they want to trade a guy they played in the last games and looks good....So why do they want to trade him....

Maybe he'll play but I doubt it will be at any point on Saturday.

Garrett owes it to the rest of the 52 players on the team to give the best chance at winning.
If he asks those 52 players to go out and give it their best to win. Then he needs the 53rd guy in the QB that helps give it the best. And right now that is Cassell, and whether one wants to admit it or not. We know it's right.

I want to see what Moore can do, but he does not give us the best chance.
Once eliminated, then we may see him, and I hope so. That is not saying they don't think Moore can win. But he has never played a down in the NFL. No coach would do that, whether you want to beleive they would or not.

Don't take a knife to a gun fight, though that is the way it seems it been. But Moroe still has a training blade or playing with blanks., so not the time to ask him to lead a meaningful game to those other 52 players.

He will get his chance, just not this week, or doubtful anyway.

They just released Patmon when Mo is injured. That tells me they don't really care about winning at this point so why not just start Moore and some other young guys.

I think Moore plays this week. Garrett was being cryptic this week when discussing the QB situation. He stated Cassell is the 'starting quarterback' rather than 'our quarterback' which I interpreted as he will start but will be pulled if he underperforms.
That and Linehan basically quoted as saying he trusts Moore and has more faith in him than Cassell before cleaning it up and saying 'but, I have faith in all our players'.

I don't get fascination with Moore. This proves that the backup QB is most popular player on the team.

Imagine Matt Leinart and Moore is a poor mans version of him without the ballroom dancing.

It's going to be all check downs and then he'll be flushed to his left and throw it away. We've seen this QB before. Stephen McGee, Brad Johnson, etc. Don't know why he's even here other than he knows the offense.

Release a 2nd year player contributing nothing, to see what another player that could be churned too, which would play if Mo didn't return. Comparing that to the QB that had years of experience over a QB that has no experience...yes, that screams tank in a big way.

I don't disagree, I see a scenario where he plays the final 2 games but Dallas will likely keep it close enough to not warrant Garrett taking a "risk" by putting Moore in there.

I don't truthfully see it as a risk considering the QB play we have seen this season.

Also, it is the fascination that people just don't like anything about the team.
It's like the college intern working over the summer at Apple, and thinks they know what is best for the company.....probably one said at one point in time...iPhone, what the heck is that, that is a stupid idea and even a more stupid name....now a toothbrush that plays music, that is a great idea...but do it right, it needs to hold 8 GB of music for those who want to change tunes after a minute of brushing....
