I can’t believe how many are so excited about a 40yr old signing

The only 40+ signing that would be ok is a guy named Brady. Other than him I really don’t get it. Has it gotten that bad that Jerry could sign Larry Allen and everyone is talking like it’s adding Deion in 95? LOL, brainwashed fan base.
I would be more concerned about creating a thread bashing fans for something you are instead the uneducated and wrong one about said topic, including the 20+ who originally liked your badly misinformed opening statement.

I think people are just happy we have Peters as a potential guard or swing tackle as opposed to names like Josh Ball.

We lost a key player and a key position and replaced him with the best or one of the very best options.
I’m not sure why people are upset by this or that many are happy about if.

Those upset are football ignorant and those celebrating it are probably just so happy that Jethro looks like he did something smart for a change that they over reacted.

I wouldn't say this was a big signing. I've seen last years stats and years prior. If we can get at least 10 games out of him, I'm happy. The more is just a bonus.

Nobody is acting like this is the level of prime Deion. And nobody is acting like this is a long term solution. People just recognize O-Line is a serious concern, and now there is hope of solidifying it for this season.

its fair for people to get excited that we found a stop gap to help take some of the pressure off of Smith as he is acclimating to the nfl...Peters graded out very soundly last year, is a proven leader and can be a great mentor to help the line come together.

Doesn't mean we are going to the superbowl, but its better to have him than where we were last week before we signed him.
No one is acting like we just signed Tristan Wirfs

I don't know Peters played 15 games last season, it is not like he is a long term solution he came here for 1 reason to fill in for Tyron Smith. Brainwashed? How about you use your brain.

I don't think anyone is expected Pro Bowl level Jason Peters on the field this year. I think people are very happy to have someone they think is better than Josh Ball and Conner McGovern and if it is a guy who also can help our rookie OL to learn the game a little and won't hurt our cap, that's a huge bonus. My only issue with this signing is they should have done it earlier.

I think with everybody trying to stay upbeat. Wanting to enjoy the coming season, believing the hype etc. And i do like it too. And want to feel it too.

But in the end most of us know about the real situation of the team. And so when you look at our roster, even a 40 year old OT is an great upgrade for this team.

i’m not defending them, but they drafted Tyron’s replacement in the first round. how is that not proactive

he’s a project. Drafting a player doesn’t mean he’s ready to start day 1. With Tyron Smith and his injury history, they should’ve been more prepared for the inevitable.

I think it's more relieve for the fact of some of us believing that Peters adds some security and depth on the OL. And he can work with Tyler Smith to help him develop.
