With respect, I never understand why the rewards of fandom depend so much upon good times. Regardless of the day, week, month, year or era, the franchise is always the Dallas Cowboys.
"Blessed be fans who support teams unconditionally."

I have trouble understanding why these numbnuts cant even begin to understand it. Not agree with it is one thing but to say you aren't a Cowboys fan is down right insulting.
In 1989 we were 1-15. I had just moved to Tucson. I was on my motorcycle at an intersection one day and I had on my Herschel Walker jersey. He had already been traded to the Vikings. With respect, I never understand why the rewards of fandom depend so much upon good times. Don't take it personally. Some fans think that 'their way' is the only way to be a fan.
I guess they buy a lot of products they don't actually like?
As I said before, I'll always be a Cowboys fan, but I haven't always been a fan of Jerry Jones and the way he's done business. So I made it a point to exercise my right not to give the man my money.
The team was here before him, and it will be here after him.
I still wore my Cowboys gear on gameday and wear my ballcap at least every other day. I just wasn't buying any new stuff.
And now I'm eyeing up a few new jerseys, especially if Murray re-signs!
And if anyone's interested, I have 3 Marion Barber jerseys I'm willing to part with?
Nice to know someone gets it. It's not just Cowboys gear. I protest with my wallet all the time. I believe it's the only way to shape the market. If I have to pay more for organic food then I do. The list goes on.
Being a loyal fan makes these good times, rare as they may be sometimes, all the sweeter.
God bless you bandwagon fans that buy the shirts after great success. We need you too so Jerry can pay the big salaries. But you're missing something special. To each his own...
Oh, please. I haven't missed a thing, but I believe in rewarding success; not failure. I've been reminded by everyone in my family that the money I've withheld from Jerry is a drop in his massive bucket, but it felt better staying in my wallet than going to his during those years. Jerry can pay the big salaries with or without me.
but for people like stash and to a large degree, me, it's not about jerrys wallet it's just choosing not to be a part of t.
never said it would make a difference to jones, but it makes a difference to me. maybe stash.
I never stopped buying Dallas stuff and it feels much sweeter now.
Yup... Never stopped buying or wearing.
Only difference is... The star shines brighter when looking and buying
Told myself several years ago I wouldn't do it until they right the ship and at least make a playoff appearance. But I've decided to hold out a little longer. If they win the Super Bowl, I'm doing what I did in the 90's. I'm buying an authentic/replica blank jersey and printing Romo's name and number on the back, Murray's number on the front, Dez's number on one shoulder and Witten's number on the other shoulder.
In the 90's I had Aikman's name and number on the back, Emmitt's number on the front, Irvin's number on one shoulder and Novacek's number on the other shoulder.
I'd love to sport a Super Bowl jersey again, and the sooner the better.
Sorry but your are not a real fan if you had to wait to get your gear again.
Buying gear only when they win is a definition of a bandwagon fan.
I haven't missed watching a game in over 40 years. Can you say the same.
