In my opinion it is. Look what Jerry's done to the likes of Witten, Ware, Romo. He's paid em alot, but give them no chance to win. The Cowboys are the laughing stock of the NFL. If you don't believe that, you're not accepting reality.

we're the laughing stock? Cool. So who do think we should draft with the 1st overall pick in the draft?

Once Hatcher signs with the Saints, he will bash our organization..WATCH. You saw how Brees made Hatch his first pick in the Pro Bowl, HE IS GOING TO THE SAINTS...

Dumb. Why would Hatcher sign with the Saints when he has said the move to a 4-3 was in his best interest, and it was proven put on the field? He's not going to any 3-4 team.

I guess the Jags,Browns,Rams,Raiders, Bills and Titans (just to name a few) are all laughing at us. But then again, 8-8 is like football limbo. You could go either direction. And calling out the GM does no good because he is of the philosiphy that ANY press is good press. So here we sit. Sulking.Festering.Venting.

Yeah, I can see how the Saints would once again want to tap into that well of signing ex-Cowboys in the FA market. Look how well they did with the Victor Butler signing.

I can't recall too many recent Cowboys who left via FA and had stellar careers with other teams. Canty left but didn't exactly do a whole lot for the NYG. But, he did help them get a trophy. Spears? Anyone rue that loss? The only rue-ing is that he wasn't cut sooner. Bowen to Washington? No biggie, there. TE Bennett? Nothing much to see there, either. Can someone help me out here with some examples of ex-Cowboys who hit gold in the FA market after leaving the Cowboys and did well with their next team?

I'm a Cowboys fan so why would I root for another team?

If you're a Cowboys fan, then criticizing the team is not allowed. So go frame your Jerry Jones favorite photo in gold, place it above the mantel of your fireplace, drink the "Everything is Alright with this Franchise" Koolaid on sale at all concession stands in Jerry World, along with the "Everything is Rosy" Cowboys sunglasses. And while you're at it, buy the full-price bottle of "The Greatest Owner and GM in the World" syrup, swallow but not too fast so it coats your inner throat, then sit down and shut the HECK UP.

We need you drunk and under the influence like Jerry Jones and his supporters so you too will fall in place and cry, "All is Well" and "Like 'em or Get Another Team" hypnotized, enabling stooges. :)

Wait, where am I?

I guess if you gentlemans are so down on the Cowboys maybe you should find a team more to your suiting.
And wear their stupid jerseys instead.

As a FAN, I want the Cowboys to succeed. The Cowboys are the only team I'm emotionally invested in. So when the Cowboys are doing bad, and the source of that ( Jerry to the main extent, Garrett to a lesser extent ) is a lock to keep doing the same things that will keep the team bad or at least mediocre, it is only natural to want to vent to other fans who know what you are going through.

This doesn't mean the complainers are bad fans or should go root for another team. People can't just turn their sometimes lifelong emotional investments off or switch them around. The still WANT the team to win and succeed. It just seams bleak is all and they need to vent sometimes.

I know some posters seem to "vent" every single time they post, that just shows me they care a great deal. This place is where they go to do their venting. I realize that can upset those who come here for other purposes - like being with others who are just fanboys and want only to hear good things about their team.

This is a big enough board for both types. No need for one side to leave just because they handle the current state of the Cowboys in a different way then some others.

The Cowboys aren't the laughing stock of the NFL, either. They're middle of the road and have played a meaningful season ending game for the past few years which some fans of other teams would kill for.

We've all been disappointed by the end results the last few years but take a step back from the ledge because believe it or not it could be worse.

Let me tell you some fans that are way worst off than us.

Try the 49er fans.

They have been to the NFC Divisional playoffs or better and lost 3 times to advance to the SB.

Now there is a team to contemplate as to what's up with that?

Are they losers?

Are they winners?

Are they always Next Years Champs?

Or are they on their way backwards?

The big problem there is that while they have been playing their hearts out..

they maybe losing their window of opportunity with the losing.

For 3 years in a row..other than drafting Kapernick..

by finishing so high every year..

their talent pool is going to start evening out.

Their contracts for player deals are going start tripling shortly..

and the rest of us will be at them like a pack of wild dogs trying to take them down.

Its the way it is.

Sure.

Calvin Hill.

Calvin was a top RB who signed with the Commanders.

He came back to repeatedly kill us..him and Billy Kilmer..their QB who just always knew how to drive a stake in our hearts.

Obviously, you are not a longtime fan and don't know your Cowboys history.

That was before my time and I go back awhile. I don't even think they had FA then. I asked for (or at least I meant to ask for) recent examples, like something in the 21st century not the 20th century.:)

Hatch won't want to be a distraction to his next team. He won't just come right out and rip Dallas. But if he's asked a question, he wil answer it honestly whether its politically correct or not. That's what I like about him.

Bring down the truth hammer all he wants. Isn't going to change.........One. Damn.Thing.

Does it ever? He'd just be regurgitating what the world knows and jerry sweeps under the rug.

If he does bash his former team that paid him a decent wage, he deserves to live in New Orleans and half his garden gnomes stolen by the citizenry of mostly felons and persons of interest..

I must be converting to liking this humor. That was an unexpected garden gnome ref and the last part was politically incorrect, but it made me chuckle. Thanks

Yeah okay this coming from a guy who predicted we would go 12-4 this past year(and at that point we had already lost 2 games).

Dallas isn't a laughing stock? Really? Did you watch the bears game? How about the saints gane? What did you think about the record breaking 40 first down performance?

I've never seen national media outlets mock/laugh at an organization like they did after the bears beat us into the ground. You obviously did not turn on NFLN or sportscenter the entire week following that loss.

Dallas had some pathetic performances. We played in a meaningful game at the end but it was clear after the saints game that Dallas could not beat any playoff teams.

Ken Norton Jr. Yes, that was a long time ago.

But it gives you an idea of the quality of players drafted and have left the organization.

Some offensive lineman actually did pretty well. John Gezek, Ron Stone, Kevin Gogan. You have to go back to the mid 90's to find these guys.

Oh no. Someone. Please. Stop him.

If he makes the same comments that Spears and several others have made, will it be is labeled as another disgruntled player? I don't know what it will take for some posters to see the glaring disfunction in the way this team is managed. All of these former players can't be wrong.

I am humbled.
Of course, we should vent.
Thanks for setting me straight. And belief me, the cops and teachers tried to for many years and years and years.
