I can't fault the D today

The D did their job. It wasn't pretty, but they stopped the Ravens on at least 4-5 occasions

The Ravens scored 34 points.

The Cowboys averaged giving up 30 last year (worst in team hitory) so today was worse!!!!!!

The D did their job. It wasn't pretty, but they stopped the Ravens on at least 4-5 occasions, including stuffing Derrick Henry at least 4 times. He didn't have a career game like he did last time he played us. All in all, the defence did about as well as you'd expect a defence to do in a game like that. And that's considering the fact that they had a rubbish DPI against Bland that should have been OPI (and changed a lot of momentum in the game at that moment leading to the Ravens opening score).

The fault for this game lies with the offense and Schotty. The offense didn't take advantage of multiple stops. The shovel pass was idiotic. They played too cowardly on the last drive, but didn't kill the clock if they were planning on taking it to OT. All in all, this loss is on Schotty and the offense (including Dak).

If you don't mind 34 points scored against us, then I do not mind either.

At the very least, I think the offense deserves more blame than the defence today. Sure, both sides (and the blocked FG) deserve blame. But players like Steele didn't do their jobs well today.

I'm aware, but, again, we had a 28-24 lead when we got the ball back with about 5 minutes left. With our offense, that was a golden opportunity to ice the game.

Exactly, and they did it on 4 occasions, including stopping Henry on 4th twice and on 3rd at least two other times. For a D that's as beleaguered as ours, that's not bad. The offense has to take advantage. If we're banking on our high powered offense to win us games, then, when your D gets at least 4 stops against a dangerous offense that normally destroys our D, the offense should win that game.

Held Henry under 100 yards on 26 carries...3.4 ypc. Thats not terrible. Couple of 4th down stands/turnovers...They aren't a great defense but if I told you that stat before the game you'd say they played well

Exactly, along with Williams running and fumbling up the middle instead of going outside where he had a massive gain, going 3 and out with 5 minutes left and a lead, and, whatever that RedZone series was, that was the dagger. I wouldn't consider giving up 34 points to be average defensive play in the NFL. Even though the Cowboys offense failed when having a chance to end the game.

Because we played the Ravens with mostly the same offense as today and they massacred us. This year, we actually slowed down their run game. It's a fair comparison. At the very least, I think the D is getting better. It's slow, but that's expected. They do look better imo. But the offense bungled it in critical situations.
