I agree that after missing playoffs several seasons that making the playoffs and winning a game would be a step up. To balance that, I have never lowered my expectations for the Cowboys.

I mean, that's fair. Then again, I'm 33 lol. But yeah, just from a broad overview, I think it depends on how the seeding shapes out (assuming we win the division). I think, if we win the division, it'll come down to who gets the two seed between us and Chicago. If we can get the 2 seed or have Chicago lose the first round if we get the 3 seed, then that'd give us a fighting chance to at least get to the NFCC. That's the way I see it. I think if we go to Chicago the division round, we would have a rough go of it. I say Chicago because I think they'll win their division again, and I don't love our chances in the cold.

I will always believe that he blamed his core players ( leadership players ) for that loss. One that should have been an easy win; they read their clippings and did bother to prepare and it showed....big time. Notice how everything Jerry did (or didn't do) the next offseason seemed like he was punishing the players, even Dak. Also notice that all are gone except Dak and Lamb.

No such thing as an easy win w/ the 28th ranked D.

I genuinely haven't lol. I have heard the phrase "wow, I've really stepped in it this time" but that's usually a negative connotation

Me too, especially with our offense, a dominant defence AND offense with Aubrey and Anger? Should make for a really fun season (especially once the defence gets in gear). It's part of the reason why I think, if we win the division and snag at least a 3 seed, we might legitimately be one of the scariest teams in the playoffs.
