There’s no such thing as a one read concept in the passing game, apart from SOME screen plays. There are two read concepts, but nobody runs those in the NFL consistently outside of the Colts and Falcons right now.He had a few.
However, that's not the offense now. It's one-read and get the ball out. That's what McCarthy wants, especially in games like that where the defense can win the game for them.
The overwhelming majority of NFL passing plays contain at least three reads, albeit one is sometimes the initial run/pass read in RPO concepts. But there is never, ever a time a QB drops back in a standard drop with one read.
