I dare you to find a play action snap vs NYJ

He had a few.

However, that's not the offense now. It's one-read and get the ball out. That's what McCarthy wants, especially in games like that where the defense can win the game for them.
There’s no such thing as a one read concept in the passing game, apart from SOME screen plays. There are two read concepts, but nobody runs those in the NFL consistently outside of the Colts and Falcons right now.

The overwhelming majority of NFL passing plays contain at least three reads, albeit one is sometimes the initial run/pass read in RPO concepts. But there is never, ever a time a QB drops back in a standard drop with one read.

Well, that's what a ton of our offense was yesterday. Broadus and others talked about it. McCarthy wants the ball out fast with Dak.

I seriously doubt Brian Broadus said this, but if he did he’s just simply wrong. Now he may have been referring to a single read with an immediate checkdown, but that’s still two reads. And ultimately this is wildly oversimplifying offense anyway, as the initial read on most plays is determined by the presnap assessment of the coverage. So the one read you would make before the checkdown option will differ depending on the coverage.

Ultimately this is all an attempt to claim that, if Dak is successful, it’s only because McCarthy has taken away his autonomy and ability to make reads himself. It’s not true, it will never be true, and it’s a silly game for all who participate.

LAst drive start at around 5:50 goes run, run, run. Checking the one before that. Run, run, run. One before that. Run, run, 3 step drop, shotgun, run, 3 step, run, run, run, run, shotgun.

His last pass was the corner route out of shotgun he whiffed. That was not play action eitehr.
You are watching the wrong game or something lol. His literal last play is PA to Ferg

He had multiple PA passes that were bubble screen like. For instance, the one where CD looked like he was crash blocking was PA and then Dak threw it to him. Somewhere second quarter I think.

Yes. All 3 were shown hours ago.

It's not 1 read. As Romo pointed out many time and you can see Dak go through his reads. The offense is designed to check down if your first options ain't there.

This used to be Dak's bread and butter. You would look at his splits and his TD total YPA and rating would double on those plays.

He didn't throw a single one last game and still got 2 TD at a 112 rating clip.

We haven't seen the whole offense people.
They will add something each and every week.

What options? He was getting rid of the ball in two seconds much of the game.

Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are masters at getting the ball of in 2 seconds, are you also calling them 1 read Qbs?

Exactly like Romo was talking about. 3 step 2 read. Backfoot is first read. Pivot to your second read on time. If it is not there get out of the pocket so you can try and make a play off the scramble or throw it away. By the time 3 seconds rolls around you need to be moving.

It's Rodger's game too. He likes to stretch out to the sideline and making plays off guys running all the crossing routes. That is what he was doing against us in 2017.

Ok, but you're talking about a handful of plays. There's were several where it was just snap and throw a dink ball.

There's a difference in the choice the QB has.

They didn't get their receivers killed downfield.

You are right insofar as if the first read is open you take it. That doesn't mean there's not another progression behind the first if its not there.

It's pretty clear that they're going to play it conservative and win with defense.

Not sure how happy that will keep the receivers, but I like the approach.

I think they'll do what the game flow dictates, which is good with me. Last 2 games they've played it smart when there's no need to push. I like it.

The offense has not had to do much to this point. It would be great if that would be the case all year but at some point they will need to step up down on the scoreboard against a defense that is playing well. That is when it will be decided.

I DARE you to find a play action snap in this game.

Well, ok. There's one. But that's it.

Fine. There's another one. But my point still stands. I think...

Sigh. Yes. Ok. There is another one. But that's still not very many.

This thread is hilarious.
